The 'expert' who turns up in a crisp clean white shirt.. Then goes on about how the shelter isn't very imaginative??? Its a shelter! It shelters them from rain etc.. What more would you want?

I think he knows that they can build somehting more substantial and mor epermanent...don't forget the whole point of this show is to show us that what we call rubbish can be reused and especially for something like building shelter! He is trying to make them make mor eout of it, which in turn will show viewers more things that can be dome with things they have thrown away!

Know yourself!!!!!

I thought he was patronising too, after all he doesn`t have to live there and they were happy with their days work, he knows theres more stuff at the tip to build a better shelter but they don`t yet, no doubt once it rains, there`ll try to improve it but they have to live there, not him, hes more worried that the programme makes the points he wants it to, not about what they are doing or how they are having to live in my opinion Smile

I thought the shelter was good given the short amount of time they were given to build it. I think the guy had a valid point though but it could take a few days to do this. You could build a bonfire type shelter with all the wood and make it more waterproof and secure. I think they have them on Guy Fawkes night on the mainland. Sorry if I seem stupid but I live in Northern Ireland Big Grin Only, over here, they build the bonfires for the Twelfth celebrations and if done well, you can make them into great shelters.

I hope they show the finished shelter tonight. It's a pity they didn't all pull together at the beginning. They could have built a great shelter with all the materials they had.

I thought the expert was good and managed to deliver his message very well in the few minutes he was given. What would have been the point of this program if nobody was there to give the facts and show what could be done in a better way with our rubbish? If everybody knew what to do then why is England lagging so much behind other countries in terms of recycling? And why should a presenter wear the same clothes as the people in the programs they present (are we asking rugby commentators to wear shorts and cover themselves in mud to be able to comment on a rugby game)?
