In the UK we seem to live in a time that is focused on 'Celebrity Status', how much exposure and money we can get out of becoming famous... But, what if the reasons for increasing one's awareness is to try and make a difference, not for one's own interests but for the people... for the Human Condition?
Hey Jason, Lucibee and Moominreggie, Jason, sorry to have missed you the other night, i went to see Prince, he was truely amazing!
I started this debate to see how it unfolds... i'm interested in what fame may bring a person, and yes i am on myspace to be discovered, but hopefully for reasons in which serve the whole! Being on 'Dumped' was also to stand up and be counted....ouch!
Hey Jason, looking forward to watching it on Sunday. Hopefully be at the gym on Tuesday to let you know what I think - Its Jacky from Hula by the way. Well done, I know the experience had an impact on you.
I think all of them except one wanted to become famous! They thought that they would go somewhere really nice and be on tv and come back here heroes or like z-list celebs! But I so understand why this show is on and i am so excited that something like this has come along! It's not BB OR SHIPWRECKED, IT'S NOT ABOUT THE PEOPLE...IT'S ABOUT THE THINGS WE DUMP AND HOW THEY CAN BE REUSED AND RECYCLED, ...THE STIL HAVE USES!
Hey Jarvis, hope you are well and good and enjoying the program, it must be a bit nerve wracking to see how you come across on telly. I have nothing but admiration for all of you for signing up for this, and for sticking it out, it was definitively a tough assignment.. i got to go back to the hotel every night and I found 3 weeks on the dump pretty tough.. ha ha. I think if any of you guys get media attention beyond the life of the show then it will have been earned and good luck to you all... my hope only is that the whole thing gets people thinking a bit more deeply about the issues it touches on.
