In places you wouldn't expect. Waste land, where there was always a left over concrete air-raid shelter, and dumped cars. And, we kids used to play on them, and even find treasures. But now, wow, we throw so much packaging away. So much sell-by-date food. So much white stuff and electricals. And the supermaerkets must dispose of millions of tons of the stuff. And we export rubbish. Can you believe that, because it's uneconomical to handle it. In the UK we re not serious about it. Just moan a lot and issue edicts about carbon footprint and green.
I think you will find many citizens of the UK are serious about the environment. It's the government that don't take it seriously enough. They only want to make money from green taxes.
Green Taxes are a misnomer if ever there was one. Not one single bit of pollution is removed by anyone paying the Government more tax. The Green issue is just an excuse to tax more. The extra monies raised do nothing to clean up the environment and just go into the general spend.
thats true, but at the same time, the population of the uk isnt totally made of politicans. so surley the government shouldnt stop us as individuals to do our bit for the enviroment.......

I agree with you, but that shouldn't stop us from using our heads and refusing to buy anything that is disposable, wrapped in plastic etc wherever possible.
