Yup, possible. But it doest explaine why se said that she hadnt seen the DI or the others...but i definitly think she had.

I've got to agree with that. How can she have not seen them in 16 years? She knew somone had taken Alex away from her and I assume that she must have gone looking for her baby. It didn't take the Losties very long to come across the others or to find out something about Dharma.

Maybe she got stuck outside the sonar fences and couldnt get in... or has just been nocturnal

How did the Others know that her baby was called Alex? Did she have her before or after her crew were killed? Rosseau is such a mystery and I think she knew a lot more than she let on.

Once you start to look at her story and the amount of inconsistancies and contradictions...something is definitly rotten in Denmark

If we take Sayids maths as correct (i wouldnt argue with him!) and the transmission was running for approx 16 years...then there is an overlap of 4 years before the Purge wiped the DI out...!

Why would the DI let Rousseau's transmission play for 4 years.....WTF...?!

Maybe they knew that her transmission would never be heard. I can't think of another reason.

Had the jamming device been switched on then? I got the impression from THLG that the natives were used to it being off

I get a bit confused, too difficult for me to work out, but it crossed my mind when i read that post.

I don't think Ben could be Alex's biological father. Children concieved on the island never survive. I had always assumed that she was pregnant before she came to the island. Maybe I'm wrong?

I have considered that he may be the biological father....maybe one day we will find out...!

I am pretty sure she was 7 months pregant when she arrived on the island.
