I have this little theory that hurly is just in a coma dream and all this is in his mind because as u saw libby was in the loopy bin wid hurley so he wud of seen her and she just ended up in his dream, all of the island the people are parts of his amagination and personality.Also when his sycholagist was talkin 2 hurley in the room on his own when he was reading out wat he likes about himself above him was a photo of an island with palm trees and a beach, maybe he had seen that and thats how the dream ended up where the happend to crash on an island just like that.Also Henry gale sed that not even god could see the island so that could be because it is all in hurleys mind.And dont forget all the charectors are linked in some way ie sawyer met jacks dad in the bar and locke was inspectin sayid's birds house in his flashback, so it all could be connected because of the dream. But im not sure because last time in hurleys flashback dave his amgenary friend he was just saying what hurley wanted to think so that might mean that what dave is saying is what he wants to think cos he just can't belive it and doesnt want to it belive. Any way what do u people think? do u agree?

Dave is a figment of the big guys imagination .
He's not in a coma .
When you watch the episode there are lots of things that point to the fact that Dave isnt really there other than in "hurlys" mind .
Perhaps Dave was a real person he knew or seen in the past somewhere and his subconscious just used the image of Dave but he definatly is not there in reality .

Imaginary people don't get flashbacks...

From the final scene, everything on the island could be a figment of LIBBY's imagination, not just Hurley's.

Come to think of it, that's a better explanation.

i think they r on the island i think the island plays mind games will them.hurley started nicking food the island made dave come back and wanted to test him. to kill him self or not to kill him self

this dream theory...not true the writers have brushed it off saying thats this was all real yet we still don't actually know whats going on. The dream theory makes a hell of alot of sense but it's not true and thank god it ain't

As soon as this ep started i knew Dave was imaginary..was it jus me or was i v v predictable

the island cannot be all in hurley head as we see flashbacks and storylines from other characters with hurley no where in site. as for libby, she talks to other people so she cannot be in hurley's head. and personally, i feel that that is a rubbish way to explain everything "..and it was all in hurley's head" if that ever happens i will eat my sock. also, if that was even possible to be true(which i dont think it is) then why would they ever consider even putting the ending in one of the season two eppys? doesnt make sense to me.
