at a first glance yeah it does maybe look like a boat, but there isnt a doubt in my mind that says its not one of the statues the charlie is throwing into the ocean. and even if it was just a promo shot i really dont think the producers would be so careless as to post a shot with a boat on it. its a statue.

NP, sometimes you get promo shots of scenes that never actually make the episode at all, or that give you a clearer glimpse of things than you got in the episode... How in the world could a statue get all the way out in the horizon? Im going to say that I think it's impossible for the object above and to the left of Charlie to be a statue, the fact that it's in the far distance is one clue... I made a crude picture which I can prove this with, but it's hosted on my photbucket account which, I'm afraid if I post the link it will get this entire thread deleted... It's the word i m g which this forum turns into ***, the mods must be alerted by the filter and they are merciless Should I risk it? I can't see how your mistaking it for a statue if I'm honest MrsHolloway...

omg it couldn't be more of a statue if it tried. i don't see how that could NOT be a statue. it's sort of 'mid flight' if you like, upside down. i zoomed right in and it only looks more like a statue.

Sloth from The Goonies was dropped on his head, I know that much... Widmore has come up a few times in LOST so far, first in Fire+Water, there was a sign in the background that said Widmore Construction, although it was pretty much impossible to see if you didn't know it was there... Second on the pregnancy test, that was made by Widmore Labs who also sponsored Henry Gale, that's number three Fourth... *** Desmond entered Charles Widmores race to win back his homour and presumably Charles daughter, Penny Widmore, she was the woman who hired the two Portugese scientists to find "it", whatever "it" turns out to be...***
