Just had a thought. Maybe Jack hasn’t acted on his attraction to Kate yet because he already has a girlfriend in the outside world.
I mean, we’re already seen that he is rather honourable so probably wouldn’t cheat if he did have a girlfriend back home - especially as last time he kinda strayed, his wife left him immediately! And I’m presuming that they still think they’re actually going to be rescued sooner or later ... which would leave him with some embarassing questions to answer from the girlfriend if he had had a ding-dong with somebody on the island! I doubt his conscience would allow him to keep it a secret - he owned up pretty quick after that fleeting smooch with the Italian chick.
We don’t have that much information as to what he was up to after Sarah left him (apart from going to Oz to find father, just prior to the crash). That possibly leaves quite a bit of time in between when we don’t know what he was up to. I’m sure a man like that (rich, successful - gorgeous!) wouldn’t have remained single for long.
Just a random theory, but maybe he’d been seeing Cindy? They definately had some sort of chemistry going on when they had that (incredibly flirty!) exchange on the plane. Might also explain what a top spinal surgeon was doing in tourist class (after all, Christian always flew first class) - maybe Jack got a last minute freebie ticket through his girlfriend who worked for the airline.

I read that too ... but then I also read that most of the spoilers released about forthcoming revelations on Lost are fakes, deliberately posted by the producers to mislead fans.
OMG, please dnt tell me all of you believe that kate will marry this guy tom/mr friendly....? It's a fake spoiler and the person who started this spoiler up is a guy who has a reputation for posting fake spoilers. Don't believe it til you see it.....and i tell you this it ain't gonna happen.
Can't believe just how many spoilers are out there regarding the new series - I'm keeping a list of them on file (saddo me!) so I can check which ones if any are correct when the new series airs. I'm sure 99% of them are fake.
The wedding reference was cos there's a promo pic from new series showing Kate in a white dress with whatsisname, and loads of people have assumed she has to marry him. I think it's probably just a dream sequence or just a dummy shot to freak out the fans.

that's actually a good idea, keeping a list of all the spoilers you've read. But i've seen that promo pic as well- indeed it's very confussing, botu doubt it has anything to do with marriage!.
yeah but just cos it's a WHITE dress doesn't mean it's necessarily a wedding dress, does it? Colour might just've been chosen by costume department because it's a very impractical colour to wear on a desert island so it stands out more, looks stark and "different", signifies purity/birth/renewal, white means "good" .... ooh I dunno, grrr!
that picture looks like hes leading her down the aisle but if you've seen the s3 clip what ever hes leading her too it looks like kate reconizes it or something
exacly...can't ppl wear white without them saying, "oh look she's getting married". If you look at that pic again, you can see it's not exaclty a wedding dress, that could just be a top she's wearing. Well i don't for one second believe she's getting married. Why do ppl post fake spoilers... wheres the fun in that ey!.
First off, to Morbidangel - Aw, thanks so much for posting that link babe but my decrepit old computer doesn’t have broadband so I can’t watch those video thangs. (have just spent 15 minutes just waiting for the abc logo to disappear from the screen - personal reminder: get broadband and/or new computer before new series starts in US!). But I have seen a pic of the “wedding” scene though. Intriguing, eh?
And absolutely agree with you teenbabe - white doesn’t always mean you’re getting married (must’ve been a bloke who jumped to that conclusion on the forums!). As for the whole spoiler issue ... it’s like sneaking a peak at your Christmas pressies before the big day - okay so you know what you’re getting beforehand but it kinda ruins the surprise. I’m going to try and be very strong and not look at ANY spoilers once the series starts in the US so it all comes as a nice surprise when it starts again here ... erm, and my resolve will probably crumble as soon as the first epi is aired over there!
