im realy annoyed that america are getting series 3 before us. they should at least let us catch up with them other wise we would be hearing spoilers all over the forum from the americans. they should show lost series3 at the same time as us maybe january or something to make it fair. who else agrees with me!!!

Even though i havent finished season 2 yet i totally agree with you.I got told that they were showing the first half of s3 in america then showing another series e.g desperate housewives while we catch up then we both watch the rest of the series together thus stopping piracy and spoilers .But apparently that aint true as theres some law about when they can show it in certain countries

i just thinkthat they should wait for us to catch up instead of being ahead of us all the time its just so annoying

I know cos it would stop loads of spoilers from happening and would stop people putting the epi's on the internet but if theres a law stopping us from catching up then they cant do much about it.

Am sorry i totally disagree with you, people in America got it first cos it was made and produced in America. And then why should a nation bigger than ourselves wait for Britain to catch up. Lost makes more money in America therefore it is shown there now. If Americans had to wait for the Brits then they would have been waiting since the end of May. The period of waiting is roughly the same in the USA as it is when it finishes here. Deal with it!

well what i wish for is that the UK shows lost at the same time as USA, but lets face it, that will never happen. USA had got the rights to show programmes/shows first.

as i said before they're only getting the first 6 episodes of series 3 now and then the other 17 in the same weeks as us. the rest of series 3 aint even being filmed yet to prevent it leaking. up until episode 6 it gives nothing away

Has it been announced when it starts being shown here? It's February that the other 17 episodes begin in USA.

I managed to watch Season 2's episodes in the UK 24 hours after they aired in the US.

This is the only way to watch S3 in sync as there is no way the US will wait for us to catch up!

We will never be running on the same time scale as America

Channel 4 stated thatwhile we are waiting for LOST, they will show all of season 1 and 2 on E4.

sorry dude it didn't say when. i can't remember where i read it but i think it was an irish tv mag called tv now. i could be totally wrong. it said that the last 17 episodes arent even being filmed until february though to stop them leaking. now i'm confused. but i would imagine with a show that huge they'll have to run them near the same time so endings don't leak. i for one would not be able to resist looking up spoilers

It works both ways, we got Battlestar Gallatica beofre anyone else...

In fact downloading helped that show, word of mouth is a very powerful advertising tool and it almost worked like a "try beofre you buy thing"

Everyone said "you have to watch this show", and people were'nt prepared to wait the four or five months for it to make the leap across the pond...

So they downloaded it, then told their friends how good it was, who told their friends, who made damn sure they were watching when it started on the Sci-Fi channel...

In this way downloads translated into viewing figures and profit...

Dr.Who was the same, it's even rumoured that the BBC leaked the first episode of Dr.Who themselves, they certainly did'nt go out of their way to have it removed, it was avery early cut with no special effects, but people still wanted to see it so they downloaded it and the rest took care of itself..

give the americans a break, they did make up the show, if it wasnt for them we wouldnt have it, just be patient, they have a right to show it first

Grr!!! I posted that it was a lot of rubbish that people are complaining about this because it's an American programme and if Britain made any decent drama or comedy then we'd get it first! But unfortunately we don't, our schedules are full of reality pap so we need to rely on the USA to give us a decent drama show (Lost, 24 etc.) or comedy (Friends, Seinfeld etc.) and my post mysteriously vanished!

So I'm guessing it's because I criticised the amount of reality TV rubbish that's on our schedules (which Channel 4 is indirectly responsible for) or because I said the last great drama done over here was Messiah, a BBC programme. Quite petty!!!

Normally if someone posts something that the mods....don't like....they just delete the entire thread without warning and without any consideration for the discussion contained within...

Sometimes it's hard to understand what it was that got a thread deleted, sometimes it's really hard...

But C'est la Vie, that's life on the C4 boards...

The Office is great and that is British look how well that did in America. Americans will always be ahead
