Not once was it said Jin was dead, jin was in a flashback due to it being the year of the dragon as the store keeper said meaning either yr 2000 or 2012, so flashback, and sun in flashforward.
Jin still living alive and well on the island with the rest who didnt get to leave, i believe, he said once he would do anything to keep sun safe, maybe this ment letting her go to save their baby.
His tombstone read, died september 22nd 2004, which means they are making out he died in crash.. so i believe he is still living on the island in flashforwards.

I hadn't thought that it was just made out that Jin was dead...but actually he is still alive on the island. Good thinking! I feel a bit better now after my sob at the tombstone scene. Although, if he is still on the island, why would Sun go to a tombstone that has no meaning? And why did she need Hurley? That's a bit strange.

Yeah I dont think Jin is dead either- I think they got sun off the island asap and Jincouldnt go straight away in a kind of "I'll be back" kind of way. Maybe thats why they seem to want to go back after a while.

You know when Sun was having the baby and that guy was at the door- was that relevant or not?? He seemed to linger a bit too long for my liking!

So theyre off the island in three weeks then??

Well there episodes are moving along about a day by day thing so they will probley leave in about a week on their times...
I think Sun was at his grave because, as Jack/Kate said.. the world think the rest are dead, and I think they knew once they left the Island it would be very difficult for them ever to get back, sun needed a place to morn her husband, even though she knows his alive, she knows they can never see each other again and Hurley strongly believes this too thats why he came to give Sun a shoulder to cry on while the other 4 couldnt be botherd... they couldnt be botherd because they know Jin isnt really dead.. its all a farce...
all shall be revealed in the next 6 episodes anyway.. then its goodbye lost til next January boooooooooooooooooo

just remembered about the man at the door. he seemed to be walking past and peering into the room like he was standing guard...like the man in Jin's flashback. I think he is eitherbfrom the same organisation as Hurleys visitor or Sun's father sent him. I noticed that when Sun went into the hospital the nurse said Ocianic 6 to another nurse and then they rushed her to the room. It does appear that people seem to be a bit scared or wary of the ocianic 6.
The woman who jumped off of the ship was Regina by the looks of it.. she was also reading her book upside down, the island must affect different people in different ways.

This episode confused the hell out of me, especially the flash forwards/backs.

If Jins tombstone states the crash date as his date of death, and his appearances with the panda insinuate that thie was flashback, and he is either dead or alive on the island. I dont know if we were given any hints as to whether he was alive or dead....

The bits that stuck out for me regarding the flashforwards was, one how bloomin skinny Sun was after having a baby!! Also, the doctor seemed to think she would need a c-section because of the "medication" she was given - what the hell is that all about? Also, why did Hurley make a massive effort to get to Korea, for what reason?

On island, not really much to say really, Bernard was sweet I think

I was very interested in the freighter scenes though. Why was the captain so forthcomning to Sayid and Desmond? What did he have to gain by telling them about the blackbox, faked 815, and Charles Widmore. (he also ackowledged that Dessie knew Charles)

The ole cabin fever thing was a bit bizzare, but I thought the way Michael was introduced was good. I knew it was him, but I thought Sayids reaction to him was very intelligent. Cant remember if Des ever met him though???

And what was that banging Sayid could hear that "wasnt mechanical" I thought it was maybe morse code, or just another member of the crew gone mad??

And where was Frank gone in the helecoptor?

I thought that regina reading the book upside down was just her going a bit crazy. I really want to know where frank is gone and i'm not sure about the whole hurley thing.

So Jin isn't actually dead?? I was actually expecting a death in this episode so it didn't really come as a surprose to be honest. I've kinda got used to Lost setting you up for certain things. Esp when Jin said 'You will never loose me' and then we saw the last (?) flash forward I KNEW he was gonna die or something bad was gonna happen.

So know you guys are saying he isn't really dead but on the island??? I really hope that is true!!!!

eppy will centre on Kevin Johnson (Michael) and what happend when ben sent him and Walt off (finally some answers) but there is a major death in the mini cliff hanger episode, dont think it will be Jin, too obvious after last weeks episode and anyway he is down as starring in eppy 9 on imdb site, so is sawyer, locke, Desmond, so we know its none of them, it's rumoured to be a man though! Bernard is not in episode 9 so he is a possibility!!!!
I do think Jin is alive on the Island, i think Frank has gone back to the island on the 'erand' and he will return with the remainder of O6 in last eppy of season (eppy 13)
Aaron has been confirmed by writers now as an ocenaic 6 so we have our 6 now, Sun, Aaron, Kate, Hurley, jack and sayid.
Jin tells Sun he will to anything to save her... i think this is what he will do... somthing major will go down meaning only 6 can go home as well as Desmond who is already on the boat but not an oceanic passenger, I think Jin will sacrifice his place and force Sun to go to save her and their child, therefor being left behind. Maybe Claire will hand Kate the baby as there about to go to give him a life, or somthing will happen to her.

Very good (and very confusing!) epi! I hadn't a clue what was going on with Jin and Sun and then i twigged that it was a flashback and a flashforward - those cheeky LOst writers messin with my head!

So if it says Jin died when the plane crashed, is he still on the island? Who is the final Oceanic 6 person then? Hmmmm??

Yes he is brilliant, we have become friends on my 'space' and he mailed me earlier to say his episode 7 recap will be on tomorrow day, but were about 5 hours ahead so were looking at evening time.

Well! When I first watched that episode I thought that Jin had faked his death and was now serving Mr Paik... which I now know is ludicrous!

I thought that Regina person was asleep so that's why her book was upside down. She did look quite troubled!
