Also after the hut disappeared Hurley fell to the ground. There has to be a signifigance in this as Locke fell into the pit after being shot, Naomi fell from the sky, the plane fell. Everytime something significant deems to happen there is a connection to falling. Very Similiar to Alice in wonderland with the falling theme and a nod to the lost time anagram in mittelos science.
Charlies "i'm dead but i'm still here" is interesting as it links to the Everett theory i discusse dbefore about parrallel universes. Charlie died yes but he lives on. Is this the case with all of them.
Also the visitor hurley has with his "they're still alive arent they" seems to highlight a cover up of some sort.Do they need to get back to help those who stayed behind before these people do.Hence the differnece in jacks attitude in the seperate flashforwards.
Nicely set up for the season. I'll watch it again tonight to look for any little clues.
Was whaaaaaay dissapointed - long adverts and not enough for a 1st episode! Think they should have put the first 2 episode together! 1. Maybe Locke 2. Counting to 5 may be like a mother says 5 to kiddies (not reading anything strange into the number) 3 Yes Christian in the hut - but why was the other in the rocking chair? 4 Yes I thought there was something about the way Hurley fell to the ground it was like Locke and was quite intense. When he saw Hurley - Jack looked so scared! Charley used to see his dead brother a lot. Strange man - who saw Hurley - think we will see more of him! Perhaps "they" want to find Ben after all he was meant to be the only remaining survivor of the Dharma - as he joined the "others" as a young boy after he has killed his father. Oceanic 6, Jack, Kate, Hurley - Who are the the other 3 - They need someone on the Island that Kate is desparate to go back for like Sawyer! The adverts on Sky do my head in! Would love to be patient and wait until the DVD comes out and watch it all in one go - but know I am not going to be able to resist it - who can Roll on next Sunday!!  I've got a mouse and he hasn't got a house I don't know why I call him Gerald. Hi all..new to the forum and a huge fan of lost. What a great episode last night.Gave us more questions than answers as lost always does. I was hopeful when Hurley saw Charlie that he was not dead after all only to have my hopes dashed. Regarding the coffin...Jack was upset when he read the newspaper about who had died so it has to be someone he liked and respected surely.?

OK, watched it last night and..........  what a great start to the season. stunning performance by Jorge Garcia, he truly emotionally affected me. couple of questions: 1) why did sawyer chose to go with team Locke? 2) why did desmond stay with team Jack? after all, he did say to sayid, juliet etc that they MUST not contact that boat. Is he curious about these people? maybe he wants to know how naomi knew bout him and penny in the first place. 3) could hurley be referring to the island when he says 'he wants us to come back', or the black smoke? 4) That was definitely christian shepard in that chair so my questions are (A..... WTF! B) so christian shepard isnt jacob? as we see other person at the window C) is hurley special too? he could actually see jacob, where as locke only heard him. Great eppy!!!  Voted funniest forum member for the moment  Well if it ain't 3 men and a baby..................... I counted Hugo twice

Charlie's brother isn't dead as far as we know. Eko used to see his brother yemi alot. who coincidently remind you of that fellow who met hurley in the hospital (compare facial expressions when yemi is judging eko before his death. hey SB. i think sawyer may have faith in locke as he helped him in the past, could be like a father figure......... one more question.............what did hurley mean when he said to jack ' youve come to check if im gonna tell'? did they do something sinister or unforgivable to make it off the island? I think Sawyer is one of the oceanic 6 because at the end of season 3 in jacks FF when he meets kate at the airport he says something like "how is he?"

I think Sawyer joined Locke purely coz I think he would have appeared subservient to Jack otherwsise. I dont think he gets off of the island meself. I love how everyone sees so many different things in each episode of Lost, its so interesting how different peoples brains work. I think Charlie is dead - if there is such a thing as ghosts or the suchlike, then there is a theory that they cannot be seen by those who use their concious mind - its the logic part of your brain. maybe the likes of those in the mental institute can all see "ghosts" or whatever you want to call them due to their mental state???? (not that I am saying people who see ghosts are mental!!) I reckon that we almost definitely saw Christian Shepard in the chair, but I dont knopw if he is jacob. I think the eye was Jacob. Dunno why, I just do, dont as for reasons!!! Best Forum Member 2007!  |

Wow! I loved last nights episode! It was so much better than the start of the 3rd series, that was just a let down... Hey who do you guys think was in the tank, has anyone brought that up yet? That was so creepy! I think it's Charlie because of the black hoodie he was wearing which Charlie use to wear all the time in the 1st series. Also, my friend pointed out that one of his shoes was missing and Charlie lost one of his shoes when swimming down to The Looking Glass. Any thoughts? Also that man from "Oceanic", was really creepy! I want to know who he is! I thin what Charlie meant about going back is that they left some people behind on the island. Hurley said "I'm sorry I went with Locke, I think he wants us to go back". So are they still alive? What happened? Oh and Hurley can see Jacob! Link to Ben? I think so... What TANK?! I never saw a Tank I thought the Person who wanted them to go back to the Island was Jacob. Jacob is always giving Lists and stuff, why not send them back to the Island...  Just realized.... OMG.... The List...The Oceanic 6...It must be the List... Jack wasn't initially on the List but he was added, Kate was Originally on the List, Sawyer was on it too, and so was Hurley. So far Jack, Kate & Hurley are all Oceanic 6 Survivors.... What Other Lists has Jacob made? and Why? Na...I doubt it. What I wanted to say was that Hurley can see Jacob meaning he has a more Powerful Connection to Jacob than Locke. I'm getting this Tone of...Jacob is the Embodiment of the Island or something, I thought Hurley said: "It wants us to come back"...like the Island wants us to come back. But if he said "He" then it must be Jacob. Locke & Ben are the other possible reasons, but I'm somehow more inclined to believe it's Jacob atm, unless there's proof or a theory that is convincing enough to sway me otherwise. I need to make a full Post some time this week...
