1.1 million people watched the first episode, "The beginning of the end", on Sky One last sunday pulling in the highest non-sports multichannel-only rating of the day. It got a multichannel share of 5% between 9 and 10pm.
However ratings are down on last years opener, which pulled in 1.4 million viewers on Sunday November 16th 2006 in a 10pm timeslot. However it's been over a year between the two premieres so Sky One is happy with the figures.
The competition on rival multichannel homes, in the same timeslot, pulled in ratings ranging from 160,000 for a repeat of I'm Alan Partridge on Dave, to Losts closest rival: live Africa Cup of Nations, which pulled in figures of 238,000 between 8 and 10:30pm.
However Dancing on Ice: The skate off won the 9pm slot with 8.4 million viewers and a 36% share.
The top multichannel-only rating of the day (Sunday 3rd Feb), went to the Fulham v Aston Villa match, when ratings peaked at 1.2 million in the last quatre of the match at 5:30pm.
Hope that helps for anyone who is interested
