My theory is that people, like Adien, who download Lost before it's shown on TV are not real fans. They're greedy people who get a pathetic feeling of power when they've seen things everyone else hasn't. Do you agree?

no i think its more to do with the fact that they like lost so much that they wanna see thenext episode and find out wot happens. the whole "greedy power" thing sounds a bit sinsiter...

Yeah i completely agree with you there. I myself have seen all of season 2, i personally didn't download it, but friends did. I think you're very wrong in saying people do it for a feeling of power...i think you're being a little silly!! People do it because each episode is amazing and people want to know what happens next without having to wait a week and then seeing the next episode....not because they want to watch it, and then come on here straight after and tell the whole forum that they've seen the whole of season, and no one else has. I personally think someones a little jealous that alot of 'true' lost fans have seen it and you havent.

Thats a bit strong, I dont get a "pathetic feeling of power" and I'm not greedy. I still watch most episodes on C4 so you could say I'm still doing my bit despite having seen all of Season 2.

People download them to see the next episode, and why should we wait approx 2-4 months to watch it in the Uk when it has already aired in America..........
If anything it makes u a more hardcore fan as u would sit for hours downloading it and busting to watch the next straight away and besides, most people who do download them in the Uk end up watching them again on channel 4.....

My friend downloaded it and let me have copies, one of the reasons I wanted to watch the rest of S2 was because I'm sick of the adverts that C4 seem to slap in every 10 minutes or so - not because I wanted to 'see things before other people'.

That's a pathetic excuse. You should take it how it's given to you. If you don't watch it when it's given to you, ratings fall. When ratings fall, we lose the programme. Is that what you want?

What about people who had been downloading the show since it started in the US and had no knowledge of whether the show would make it to the UK. Are they pathetic aswell?

Most people, who have watched Lost on the computer, via downloading it, are still watching it on channel 4 and E4, nobody is abandoning it...This has been stated numerous times by numerous members of the forum.....
I think what you said was badly planned, quite vicious and pretty silly......
I appreciate your concern for Lost and wanting to keep it on television as long as possible because me as a fan as well think the exact same thing and i believe everybody is entitled to their own opinions but dude you made it personal by calling people greedy and that they get a pathetic feeling of power, which is totally not cool.........

Hey dweebs, I'm a guy! If I really wanted to, I could've watched the rest of the series. My sister has, and the dvds are in my house. BUT I stuck true to the show and watched it how it was given. As for that crap about the whole not knowing if it was going to be on, it's damned obvious that it would be on in this country. You probably woundn't have even known about it anyway. If it wasn't on in this country, we wouldn't even be having this argument! If it wasn't on, I would have no problem with you downloading it, as it wouldn't wreck a current series.

i agree with most ppl on here, just because we seen episodes that haven't been show on c4 or e4, that dont make us want to feel powerful, WTF is all that about..power... yeh power my a***, it's more on the lines of this....people are so into and such big fans that they can;t wait for the next episode... i've downloaded episodes.. because i love lost not for f****** power!!

Oh, btw, it's illegal. Your IP address is logged on here, so Channel 4 could, in theory, report you to broadcasting police. It's effectively stealing money from the producers of the show, and messes up the ratings. You're stealing the viewers away from Channel 4 screens when you condone and gloryfy downloading it early.
