Couldnt see one...

As lost goes, fairly poor episode. Probably because im not a Juliet fan and have no interest her, she holds no interest and mystery for me. Ben seems to have struck a deal with Locke and has told him who his "man on the boat" which is pretty cool, again sawyer had one line in this episode, they really dont wanna use him this series do they? Jack and Juliet kissed, which again i just dont care about, not interested in the lovey dovey aspect of the show. Overall i would have to say its probably the worst of the season so far, still bits of interest though, it is lost after all!

I did enjoy it but it is nowhere in the same league as 'The constant' which i rate as my best ever episode but only believe Des was able to time travel due to his radiation and magnatism exposure from the hatch, other people are assuming now all losties can do the same which i dont like the sound of, becomes totally unrealistic.
Well it was confirmed widmore owns the friehgter which i suspected anyway and I'm pretty sure Michael will be the spy on the boat.
Why would widmore want to expose the island though? a healing power seems not quite right for me but i do have another crazy theory that they or most anyway are actually dead spirits and souls trapped on the island and maybe widmore wants to exploit that.. maybe walt had died in the crash! thats why he appears to people...he appeared drowned to shannon!!! then theres the other ghosts seen and we know jacob is a ghost! maybe widmore wants to expose this!

Not my favourite, not my least favourite either.

Some very interesting things from Ben (as always) he is just the most fantastic character.

So, he thinks he owns Juliet eh? Talk about possessive Big Grin Love the fact he has got what he wanted out of Locke, Locke is such a gulible bloke Roll Eyes

Well, the more I am thinking about it, the more I found this episode interesting.....

Harper - what was going on with her (I mean when she appeared to Juliet in the jungle) Did Ben send her like she said (I think yes) if so, how did he? And how in the hell did she appear and disappear?? And how did he know that they were heading to the Tempest???

And Charlotte & Daniel appear to know a hell of a lot about the island, it seems as though they may also have a spy on the island as well as Ben having a spy on the boat!!

And Ben, he's a real bad un isnt he? He knew damn well the tailies would twig Goodwin and kill him.....crafty little bug eyed beggar Big Grin

Ben is just hilarious, asking if the bunny had a number on it Laugh And how he just appeared to Sawyer and Hurley at the end, so nonchalant, bloomin well peed my pants!!

So, can we believe Ben about Charles Widmore. I think we can, I think the one thing without doubt with him is that he doesnt want the island found. Now, whether that is for his own purpose (yup!) or the islands own good (hmmm maybe) that is is aim. Charles Widmore is definitley not a goodie....

Most interestingly was when Harper mentioned that Juliet "looked like her"....when we know that Juliet also looks like Jacks ex-wife Sarah Eek

BUT I am actually trusting daniel and charlotte more than ben.

Y o y o y didn't jack kill him on the operating table???

I actually, really liked this episode.

I'm not sure. I have a feeling Ben wasn't trying to gas the island.

I mean - what would he gain from it? He didn't have a gas mask, no way to get a gas mask, he would have died too right?

Hmmm...

I think this has been my favourite episode of the season so far, I liked the Desmond episode but I didn't really understand it sooo......

This episode had a lot of info in which was good, but there was quite a lot and I haven't quite got my head around it all yet, will have to watch it again.

With the whispers and Harper appearing to Juliet and Jack it felt like a normal episode of lost, we haven't seen anything familiar for a while and I liked that. Do you think Harper is dead? I think it was her ghost. Maybe Ben has the power to control or speak to ghosts. Maybe he asked Harper to find out where Charlotte and Daniel were going.

I'm not sure what was going on with the gas being let out and who wanted it to be let out and why Charlotte and Daniel didn't just say that's what they were doing. I can't see why anyone would have a problem with them turning off the poisonous gas. It's all a bit strange that.

Ben made me laugh when he was cooking for Juliet. It just seemed so unnatural for him to behave like that. Why does he think that Juliet belongs to him? Why did Juliet have a therapist? What did Harper mean when she said that Juliet looked like 'her'. What had Goodwin been doing to get a chemical burn?

I also don't understand why Ben didn't just tell the Losties about Widmore and all that. Does Penny know that the boat she had been trying to get in contact with was her Father's? Did Charles send Desmond out on that race as part of a way to find where the island was?

I think it's Michael on the boat, and even though I didn't really like his character it will be very interesting to see him again and find out what he has been doing, and what Walt has been up to.

The 'list' was mentioned again, but still don't know what it means. Even when we find stuff out it always feels like there is this huge piece missing.

I found it interesting a couple of episodes ago when Dan said about the light not scattering quite right. It was a comment that was not made a big deal of but I think that makes it even more important. Is the light coming from a giant machine like what Dan used to send Elouise to the future? That's why everything is a bit weird? Because everything is being exposed to radiation?

And I'm starting to talk nonsense now so I'll be off.

the only good thing about this episode was that Juliet finally managed to change the expression on her face to something other than that irritating half smile/pout-

when her boyfriend died.

ps. i think it's a bit annoying how they keep Daniel & Faraday's intentions cloudy- "are they good guys or bad guys?".

knocking out kate was daft- and out of character for Charlotte.

a bit unrealistic.

I know alot of people think the comment about 'you look just like her' was referred to Annie but im convinced its Ben's mother.
ben was told most of his childhood he killed his mother, he then joined the hostiles because he saw his mother on the other side of the fence, when he followed her he found Richard.
juliette is a fertility doctor and for some warped reason i think ben brought her to the island not only to figure out fertility island problems but in hope she would overcome his own grief and guilt over his mother.
I dont believe he fancys Juliette but looks at her adoringly because she reflects his mother.
In the flashbacks we saw i didnt see lust i saw control and adoration for juliette who reminded him of someone else.
lost is never this obvious though Reply to JulieSend MessageDelete

The most intresting aspect of this episode for me was when Juliet walked right by a massive sign saying emergency shut down switch in the tempest. I think the producers through this in on purpose hinting that Dan and Charlotte might not have been shutting the gas off. Anyone else notice this?

It was also cool to see a bit of Widmore and his whole intrest in the island

Bit of interesting info on the new Dharma stations name which is revealed in this episode:

The Tempest is a play written by William Shakespeare, that tells the story of the sorcerer Prospero and his daughter Miranda, who are stranded on a mysterious desert island that has mystical properties. Prospero raises a storm, or tempest, which causes a passing ship containing his enemies to run aground. Using magic, spirits and a man-beast creature named Caliban, he separates and manipulate the survivors of the wreck for his own purposes. The play ends with Prospero restored to his former glory.
Forbidden Planet is a classic sci-fi film based on Shakespeare's The Tempest. It's storyline features many similar themes to Lost: a mysterious location, geographic isolation, immense power sources, ancient civilizations, hidden underground facilities, an invisible monster, a stranded crew of explorers, lost scientific expeditions, and deadly psychic powers.
Tempest is also the name of an arcade game produced by Atari in 1981. (The producers of Lost named the submarine Galaga after an arcade game.)
The computer keyboards in this station are a modern design, at the very least an IBM/PC AT Enhanced model keyboard, which was released in 1987, having arrow keys and a number pad, demonstrating that the equipment in this station is newer than the other stations that have been shown.
"TEMPEST" is a US government codename for the concealment of so-called "compromising emanations" in part through the use of Faraday cages to contain the electromagnetic radiation of entire buildings.

I loved Ben at the end.

I'm convinced he is a goody and would not have been trying to gas the island.

Ben wasnt trying to gas the island.... They were shutting it down so that if he wanted to, he couldnt gas the island in the future. Charlottes words were "we are making the gas inoperable so that ben doesnt release it and kill everybody on the island......he has done it before"

I dont think ben told harper to find juliett.. I think she is dead (people that are dead appear when we hear the whispers, bens mum, walt?,Eko's brother etc) i think it was the island that wanted juliett tp kill farday and charlotte.. The island makes people appear when the island needs protecting..
