That's probably right seeing that Desmond's arrival was a mistake as was the Losties'.

was desmond actually supposed to be working in the hatch or was he just made to do it like locke kind of did, i thought desmond was on a race around the world

im sure there will be new characters but dunno if they will be his replacements, although im not sure how else they could fit in.
