I think pushing the button every 108 minutes served to keep the island hidden - sort of like reinforcing the cloaking device!

I think the storm that wrecked Desmond's boat initially was caused by him encountering the interface between the island and the real world. Unfortunately for him, he came out on the island side.

I can see what it is. I have no idea why!!!

Was it only Ethan who was interested in Claire's baby? Now that Ethan's dead, they don't seem to be bothered with her and Aaron any more.

I think they were only interested when it was in Claires tummy, coz they werent sure if it would be born ok. Now it is ok, they have realised that its is only babies conceived on island that are at risk.....thats not a fact btw Fluffy, just my humble opinion!

Thanks smokey. Even if it is just your opinion of things, it's nice to have that input about the babies. So we might be seeing some interest in Sun's baby once they realise about it.

But why are they interested in all these children?

As I type I'm just begining to form some thoughts about that...We shall see!

Wasn't it a bit selfish of Kate to take Sawyer's fishbiscuit. After all she had, presumably, had a good breakfast that morning and Sawyer had only just managed to get the biscuit and some grain!?

I think 'THE INCIDENT' is what has made the island and The Others the way they are now.
The rest of the stuff that the Dharma Initiative was doing seems to have been abandoned, except the pushing of the button. Why? Is it because someone discovered that the reports were just going into a big heap in the middle of the island? But the pushing of the button was necessary to keep the island hidden?

If, as Ben says, they're the good guys. And whatshername said before Sun shot her "we're not the enemy", is true. Then why are they not doing a bit more to convince them that that is so. From what I've seen so far (season 3, episode 2)they are doing more to underpin the idea that they're the BAD guys and that they ARE the enemy.

Not that it really matters (I think), but do we know if that food drop they discovered just recently happened, or whether it's been lying around for yonks?

The food drop was so close to The Swan that if it had been sitting there they really couldnt have missed it (what with the flashy light & the parachute!). I think Charlie was the first to make the connection between the lockdown and the food drop.

I think Ben was unwilling to give information as he was afraid that someone may have a spy on the plane. A need to know basis to protect the island. Will become clearer for you in later episodes. Lord of the flies style scenario at this stage in the show

What did you all think at this point when Juliette is showing Jack the video basically asking him to kill Ben on the operating table?

Oops, meant to say that at this point I think it's just testing him a bit more.

Well, Ben is such a naughty little pixie that he has p'd off just about everone on the island. I dont think she is the only one who wants him dead. They all have their own reasons.

Well, I've never tried the first and the second I do not find any great attraction for, so I'd have to say no, not like c and c.
But it is addictive. thing is though, it's great just now when I can watch as much or as little as I like, but what will I do when I've caught up with you lot and have to wait a full week 'til the next episode?
