An observation:

In season 1 Jack and Rose are talking on the plane. Jack asks Rose if she's travelling alone and she Answers no, she's with her husband who's just gone to the tiolet.

In season 2 we see how the tail section people are getting on and when we see Bernard (Rose's husband) he is strapped to a standard aeroplane seat.

How?

Or....he realises the plane is going to crash & thinks.."I may die, but im taking one of those damn seats with me!"....just a thought

Damn good spot, sometimes I wish my brain would work like that!!

but I suspect he just got into the nearest empty seat and strapped himself in when the turbulance started. Thats why he was with the tailies.

Possibly smokey, but I'd have thought he'd have done his beest to get back to Rose. There was plenty of time, relatively speaking, from when the turbulance started and when the plane finally broke up.

If I'd been watching under a normal timescale it's possible I might not have noticed it so readily, but I was watching 2 or three episodes a night and went straight from S1 to S2 without a break. So the incongruity of it was more noticible.

I still haven't managed to get beyond S3 E5. Took a wee break to let it sink in then RL issues got in the way and now I'm having to make preparations for going on holiday next week. Can't see when I'm ever going to get back to it!
