it will return on oct.4 4 six eps and then will goes into hautis 4 12 weeks then return 4 17 eps i think this is so we here in britain can catch up with america or be only a few eps behind like with desperate housewives i not sure what do you think?

I heard that they decided to split the third series into two parts so that it would last most of the American tv season. The second series finished way too early in the season and they had to fill in with loads and loads of repeats which apparently really p-d off US viewers.

I think you may have that wrong, I think only the American viewers are going to get the break in viewing. Visit this website, if you haven't been on it before it's fantastic.

It has a hiatus because during the hiatus, it is mid-season, and this is where all second rate shows go, and a series will run for those weeks.

Now this is only a (very hopeful!) theory, but maybe this whole US mid-season hiatus hoo-ha is so that the uk CAN catch up with america - after all, they decided to show the 2nd series much earlier here than originally intended due to popular demand (thanks guys!)

OK, so the 3rd series starts in America in October and runs for 6 episodes before it breaks until February 2007. Now, if C4 started the new series here immediately after Christmas, we’d be up to episode 7 by February too. Whoppee!

B.t.w I know someone has said that there legally needs to be a 6 week gap between US and UK transmision dates ... but my mum used to work in tv and she hadn’t heard of any such rule.

C4 must know that if they don’t do this, everyone is just going to get fed up waiting and download in the meantime. And even if we don’t download, most of the shocking revelations will probably have been spoiled by the press or on US forums anyway - and I want things to be a surprise! I mean, Channel 4 must’ve spent a small fortune buying the darn thing in the first place - so why risk having far fewer viewers by waiting to air it later in the year?

I’m keeping my fingers crossed anyway!

i would prefare to see the episodes together instead of putting the gap in, even if that meant seeing them all in 2007. btw do we not get lost on abc1?

The mid-season gap is only for American viewers. Am sure it'll be shown straight through here.
