lol! a matyr is a person that like, becomes famous, like an icon after they have died normally for doing something extroadinary in their lifetime, whether good or bad. for example, martin luther king would be one (i think).

but then theres the other definition lol...

I'm not entirely convinced that the advert you're referring to should be taken that literally.

However, there's an element of sacrifice inherent in the term 'martyr' - sacrificing your life, usually, for a cause. I would have thought it obvious that the most obvious person is Boone, in that he was essentially sacrificed for the island.

i think its Claire too, but thinking about it now after reading this thread- I feel they are all Matyr's, they gave up everything to be on this island, by fate or by accident!
