Well, I'm the lovely lady who stands in the foyer and smiles at you when you come to see a show and generally looks after the audience before, during and after the performance. I'm also the poor soul who has to deal with any problems or complaints that might crop up during the evening. And if the sh*t really hits the fan, I have overall responsibility for the building.
But most of the time I just smile at people. It's a pretty sweet job.

Used to work at bluewater, having to do customer service! Greeting people etc, could not stand it, so many stuck up people come in and ignore you!

I'm a trainee civil engineer, but once a week I have to go to damn college. Still don't know what to do long term though. I'd like to be a screenwriter, but it's supposed to be a really hard business to get into, and I wouldn't even know where to start looking. I can't imagine Scotland being thriving with screenwriting courses!

Marie: You're blind, Frank. Put your glasses on. Frank: And what would be the upside of seeing you more clearly?
Joey: That all looks so good. The turkey, the stuffing... Chandler: The cranberries?
Homer: Marge, don't discourage the boy. Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals...except the weasels.
I have just finished University. Now I'm carrying on doing my weekend job as a cleaner that I've done for the past 4 years while I rest. After I've rested I'm looking for a job in a nursery, if not in a nursery then a teaching assistant job. I've already been looking and there doesn't seem to be any anywhere

I dont think the money is that great according to this
quote:
Estimator
The Job
The estimator's job is to calculate the approximate total cost of the building work from the contract drawings and the bill of quantities. They also find the cost of items from the buyer's prices and calculate the time it will take to do the work.
The People
Most estimators work for a contractor or specialist sub-contractor, and alongside colleagues including construction managers, planners, buyers and quantity surveyors. Estimators need good communication skills, as they regularly need to talk to the client's representatives, including architects and engineers.
Entry Requirements
There are no specific academic entry requirements to train as an estimator, although GCSE/S Grade passes in Science, Technology, and particularly Maths will be helpful for measurements and estimations. Most importantly, you need good communication and organisational skills.
Most entrants are trained in an aspect of construction or building, to ensure full understanding of methods and processes, and how the whole job fits
