I think its gonna blow. I just hope it doesn't until certain people get off it (Desmond, Jin, Michael to name a few.) If it doesn't blow up I won't be dissapointed. They have to get rid of it somehow though don't they. Remember in a flashforward Sayid asks Ben how did he get off the island and he said he used Desmond's boat. Why use a little boat when he could use a freighter even if he had to "stowaway" on it?

the Lost writers have committed themselves- it's a given that when explosives are shown onscreen, they MUST explode at some point.
there's a critical time period from the moment the explosive is revealed to when it explodes-
which I shall term the "audience explosion expectation window".

if it's too short then not enough tension will be built up, if too long, then the audience will have got bored, and not really care when the explosion happens.

Yeah something HAS to happen with the explosives.. or the audience will just think they're bluffers and not take much seriously!

And I will be very VERY annoyed... unless it doesnt go off and Jin/Desmond etc are saved.. then I will be very very happy
