OK OK, keep yer hair on!! Big Grin

Now, this is only really a small spoiler, SOMEONES GONNA DIE, but who is it????
-----------------------------------------
If the ABC Promo's are to be believed (remember Stranger in a Strange Land!) there is going to be yet another death to add to the ever mounting pile of bodies building up on the island.

I thought it would be worth doing a little post to see who it could be and what everyone's thoughts and ideas are. Here are mine.

What do you think? Agree/Disagree with my list? Sound off in the comments.

Safe List
Now that we know who the Oceanic 6 we can say that the following are safe.
Jack, Kate, Sayid, Sun, Hurley, Aaron. ( Eek WE'RE INCLUDING AARON ARE WE - I DONT KNOW HOW TRUE THIS IS!) Also we know that Ben is off the Island.
Vincent - No way would they kill off the smoke monster!
Jacob - Probably would like to be put out of his misery of living in a movable shack but no he is safe.
Penny - She still needs to get to the Island, Ms Hawkings won't allow Penny to die just yet.

Possible but extremely unlikely
Locke - Rumored to have another centric Episode this season
Desmond - They won't kill him before some sort of final Penny meeting/wrapup
Michael - Would they really sign him up for a season just to kill him off? Although a lot of deaths in Lost occur in their centric episodes I just can't see this happening and he is my pick for who is in the coffin, plus we still have Walt to worry about.
Danielle - Promised a Flashback at some point.
Alpert - Remember him? Well Cane is dead but I doubt Richard will be.

Possible but unlikely
Like the above but in slightly more danger:
Sawyer - Be a brave move to kill off Sawyer and the triangle
Juliet - She has become a key figure this season and unlikely to be placed in a body bag just yet
Miles - Not enough is known of him although he must be getting tired of holding the grenade in his mouth
Charlotte - As above and she is rumoured to have a centric episode this season
Daniel - As above, I think there is still more to his story.
Frank - He seems very sympathetic to the Losties and seems just as confused as the rest of us. I think he will be around a little longer as he is needed to fly the helicopter, although I suspect Sayid has this skill up his sleeve if needed.
Rose/Bernard - We need Bernard's bumblings and the Rose aspect of the story still needs to be completed
Alex/Karl - Unlikely as it would bring nothing to the story.

Danger List - Main Cast
These are strong candidates in my opinion.

Claire - As we know she has given Aaron up to Kate. Was she forced to? Did she have no choice? Was she killed?
Jin - We all saw Jin's tombstone in Ji Yeon, is this the episode we find out how he perished (if he did indeed die at all)

Supporting Cast
Lesser characters that might get the bullet.

Keamy/Omar/Doc Ray/Captain Gault - My personal thought is one of these guys will perish. Not a very shocking death if it does occur
Random Redshirt - After the Mobisodes, I think we would all like to see Frogurt take a smackdown. But unlikely to be shocking.
Cindy - Who would care?
Harper - Unless she dies of Hypothermia after traipsing around the island in the rain, I think she is safe.

Methinks Claire. I have found it a little odd how she has been kinda weirdly pushed into scenes she didnt need to be in lately, so I think they are showing her character more so it can be killed off. Wink

Episode 9 is rumoured to be Sayid Centric (yay!)
Episode 10 will be a Kate Centril (not so yay!)

Next epi:

1) Sayid demands answers from Kevin (Michael)
2) Michael will be in Manhattan during a post-island FB
3) A Mama Cass song will be in the episode
4) Mr. Friendly and Michael meet each other
5) Walt will appear "briefly"
6) Four dead characters reappear
7) Richard will appear in at LEAST one episode.

Someones theory about an upcoming episode:

An upcoming, post-strike episode will feature the same male character at different ages, described as "sweet, shy, tentative and smart" at 5 and "angry, a little nerdy, defiant and rebellious" at 16. Also, said male character has green eyes, a fact you might not find significant, unless you were this guy. The same episode also features a redheaded teenaged girl who is "emotional, prone to dramatic gestures, and passionately in love." Who are we talking about here?

The easy answer is: Duh, it's Ben and Annie, his childhood pal. But! Conflicting intel says these characters appear in a Locke-centric episode, which is confusing. To me, Locke's backstory seems pretty much wrapped up, after having had Sawyer off his organ-stealing daddy. I can't imagine that we're going to whoosh back into mini-Locke's childhood angst at this juncture.

So I have three theories, in descending order of probability:

Theory No. 1: My mole is wrong and we'll finally see the love story of Ben and Annie. When we last saw Annie, she was shaping up to be Joey to Ben's Dawson. After all, The Island is nothing more than an ominous, creepy Capeside, right? Since Annie no longer seems to be alive and kicking and/or on The Island, we'll find out what happened to her. Did she die in The Purge? Did she catch the first submarine away from Ben the first time he mentioned that she belonged to him? Did she find her Pacey? Did she — gasp! — get pregnant?

Theory No. 2: Locke's next ep is an island-based flashback, in which we'll see Locke's followers travel to The Temple to join the in-hiding Others (what the heck is The Temple anyway?). It's there that we'll meet these spunky teens, who will be the subjects of rigorous testing (cough, brainwashing). Remember Carl being "tested" for his response to vivid imagery and proselytizing in the infamous Room 23? Kinda like that. As for the boy's 5-year-old self, I'm going with an acid-flashback-within-a-narrative-flashback.

Theory No. 3: I'm totally wrong and we'll see a tiny, bald Locke as a child. Which I would totally hate.

Meet Kevin Johnson. Well, now that we know who Kevin Johnson is, our good friend and Ana Lucia/Libby murderer Michael (Harold Perrineau), the question is no longer who, but how the hell. Michael left, by island time, a little over a month ago; not nearly enough time for him to have convincingly adopted the persona of Kevin Johnson and successfully infiltrate the ranks of Charles Widmore's freighter. So what are some of the things we can hope to learn this week?

What Happened to Michael and Walt?

If you're guessing time travel, congratulations Commander Obvious. Time travel may explain how Michael would have the additional time, or would it? Remember the Orchid video, how it produced two bunny number fifteens? Could there actually be two Michaels running around? I'm not saying that is it, but I'm not saying it's not either.

As for Walt. Yeah, you'll see him. But not taller ghost Walt, although it should be reasonably obvious why there is a taller ghost Walt for the quicker minded theorists out there.

The Orchid

At Comic-Con, Damon and Carlton released a video featuring the beloved Dr. Marvin Candle. This time he was blowing the lid off a top secret station called "The Orchid." We never really found out what it was about, but let me ask you this: what do bunnies and polar bears have in common?

Just give us the... Linus

This is the week that Ben will reveal the freighter folks intentions to take him and kill everybody on the island. Is it true? Expect freighties with machine guns and a shocking (?) death to answer the question in one regard: they definitely want Ben... badly.

What other goodness do we have for you? How about: Mr. Friendly in New York city, and a persistent rumor that he dies, again. Libby makes an interesting return. Michael tells Sayid and Desmond he has come to the island, quote: "... to die."

Question: Who the heck are the Oceanic Six? If Aaron's not one of them, and Jin's grave marker is for his "supposed" death when the plane crashed, who else made it off the island with Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid and Jin?— Jen
Ausiello: Who said Aaron is not one of the Oceanic Six? Certainly not me. Take another look at my asterisk quiz from Feb. 27 and consider all of the possible combinations. In the meantime, don't expect a definitive answer about the Six from Team Darlton. Carlton Cuse tells me they're "not going public with any further clarifications right now." And what of the ABC promo that promised viewers they'd know the identity of the Six by the end of last week's episode? "We don't determine how ABC promotes the show," says Cuse. "But Damon and I will say you have now seen all of the Oceanic Six in this season's episodes."

Question: Your latest Lost asterisk quiz doesn't make sense. You wrote this about last week's big Oceanic Six reveal: "But most of you seem to have it already figured out: *o* *a* *** **e **l* **** *i***." — Frederic
Ausiello: "Too bad you are only half right." I was referring to the widely held assumption (at least among rabid Lost fans) that Jin made it off the island with Sun.

Lost scoop!: Lindelof satisfied the crowd's appetite for Lost scoop by revealing the real reason the four-toed statue has yet to be seen again. After the monument first appeared "we got a note back from the network that said, 'This is too weird,'" he explained. "I was like, 'Do you watch the show? This is too weird?' Essentially, they said, 'Could it be a six-toed statue?' I was like, 'Someone explain to me why a six-toed statue is less weird than a four-toed statue?' And they're still noodling on that."

Okay, ABC is playing the death card again. What does that say about us Lost fans, really? Are we a bunch of blood thirsty savages? Regardless of the psychology behind throwing character chum in the ratings water, it’s hard to not be participate in the practice of trying to figure out which character is going to be taking a dirt nap. We’ll go one better for you, if you don’t mind minor spoilers, and narrow the playing field a bit.

One of these three characters is dying tomorrow. See if you can figure out who:

CLAIRE
It has been foretold. Supposedly a person working for craft services catered a party for star Emilie Ravine shortly after her death scene was filmed. In the scene, Claire and Aaron are getting on the helicopter and Daniel pushes Claire out to her death.

MILES
No, it wasn’t the hand grenade, it was a play. Actor Ken Leung is apparently booked to perform in a play. Some people say that this was a classic case of double booking done to compensate for an anticipated lack of work during the strike. If that is true, Leung could have canceled this gig to honor his Lost contract—but THAT has not been confirmed.

KARL
Stop me if this sounds familiar: Actor Blake Bashoff has actually been performing in a play titled “Spring Awakening.” Now, since LOST hasn’t been in production until recently, it could have, again, been a strike induced overlapping gig, and let’s face it… Karl isn’t a “major” character (don’t tell Alex I said that).

Well, would you look at that ? Michael's back and he's got a conscience.

Bit peeved that we did not get any more revealed to us, not even the identity of Karl and Danielle's would be assassin.

Was great to see Mr Friendly again, especially in this new 'light'. Very surprised that Sayid turns into super-grass and dobs Mike in ?! The way the captain looked it was almost as if he already knew ? (Might be reading to much into it)

My mind is boggling at all the possible explanations for whats going on. Suppose we will have to wait and see.

By the by, WHEN ARE WE GOING TO SEE CHRISTIAN SHEPARD !!!!!!

03/17 - Cuse and Lindelof reveal: Ben was telling a truth and a lie [about Widmore]. He is behind the freighter, but he is not there for the reason that Ben says he is. We'll know by the end of season four. Source: DocArzt's Lost Blog

(Shock horror, Ben is lying Roll Eyes ) So, what is the reason then eh eh eh???

03/17 - The current print edition of TV Guide (March 10-16) drops some spoilers regarding what's to come in Lost's late season: we'll learn why Sayid is Ben's paid assassin, why Jack has descended into a tormented diet of pills and booze, this season ends with the O6 getting off the Island, the Jack-Kate situation remains unresolved and probably will be for a while, we haven't seen the last of Kate-Sawyer this season -- not by a long shot, it's about how many years elapsed between what we're watching on the Island and the FF's, there are some growth issues when you go on or off the island.
