Locke meets Horace Godspeed on the island who seems fine till he turns around and has a nosebleed saying that has been dead for 12 years. So we know its 12 years since the purge. He also makes a comment about needing a break from the DI the dharma iniative. Cuse has stated he will play a major part in the Lost story. Ben closed his eyes after the purge. He did the same with Alex. A sign of respect and love or something more? We know Horace brought Ben and his father to the island after being there when Ben was born. Was he there by coincidence or was it faith? He tried to save Bens mother but she died before getting to the hospital, did he realise she would die and had to play up the pretence to get in with roger so he could get Ben to the island?
Horace was not in fact dead when Ben discovers him after the Purge - he had 'jumped' like Desmond and Minkowski are able to, and sometime after the disposal of his 'dead' body he 'returns' to Island-time and so continues to exist on the Island.

If you're like me, you've done little else today other than think about last night's mind-splitting episode of Lost, what with all its mystery and intrigue and puzzle pieces. Not to mention the apparent time travel, freak-deeky cabin and the reveal that the island must be "moved." WTF?!

Thankfully, the big cheeses in charge, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, agreed to spend a little time this morning answering a few questions. And while I had agreed beforehand to not delve deep into anything spoilery, I tried my best to get us all some info we can chew over until the next episode airs!

Among the findings in this interview:

* The question is not whether Claire is dead but “What happened to Claire?”
* Christian Shepard is dead.
* Time travel is definitely happening on this show.
* Sounds to me like Richard Alpert is doing it. (Remind me later of a theory I have relating to time travel and the knocking up of Losties' moms!)
* They were surprised by today's "announcement" of two extra episodes in season five and six.
* They know whom Kate will end up with in the very end. (jeez lets all take a wild guess

Michael blows up the freighter before the rest can be saved hence only six. that is why kate wont go to his funeral as he is the one in the coffin.

keamy avoids being killed by the smoke monster due to the thing strapped on his arm that sends out an electrical impulse like the fence.

locke and jack will meet off island in a flashforward that is explosive

So smokey could be "repelled" then. Michael blowing up the freighter sounds very plausible doesn't it? Locke and Jack off island in an explosive situation wow I hope that ones true.

they could be foilers aswell but i believe the locke meeting jack one.

I think locke meeting jack will be the catalyst that leads to the return to the island.

I would love it if the series ended with them all returning to the island
