I know I speak for more than just myself with this post.
Now that the season is drawing to its end (the finale is tonight - and its amazing !) I think that we're going to start to see a rise in the duplicates of old posts, and fanclubs etc.
First of all, before posting anything that may have been discussed - ie: anything from the first 15 episodes etc which aired months ago use the search function. Thats what its there for!!! There are a lot of threads that are only getting one or two replies, and I know this can be demoralising for newbies. The chances are that people see the question, and dont want to answer it because its already been discussed.
Also, lately there haev been a silly amount of fan clubs springing up. I am a member of the clubs, so Im not being hypocritical, but nearly (if not all) actor/character had a fan club set up months ago, again please check before starting a new thread. There is no harm in bumping an old thread to the first page! Its much better than having 10 threads on the same subject, and some of the old threads are the best!
And please dont duplicate posts. I dont know who it was, but I came on here a while ago, and there were 2 or 3 posts from the same poster asking the same question. If no-one has answered your original post it may be for a number of reasons: 1/ Text speach - its a pet hate of many of the posters here, myself included. And I know that a lot of people dont respond to a thread written in this format
2/ Its been discussed before, use the search function just to check - and remember, be patient! The forum has quiet days as well as busy ones!
3/ Make sure that you haev been polite. Leave out anything that may be considered offensive. This not only gets the forumees mad, but could end up with you getting banned.
And very Important!!!!! Just because this is not the spoiler free forum, it doesnt mean that you can post spoilers without posting them in white, or without a warning. Any spoilers, must be clearly marked. Thread titles are also spoilers! There would be no use in heading a thread "Ethan is one of the others!" (we found this out ages ago ) and then whiting out your post. If in doubt, white it out anyway!
And most importantly, this forum is a fun place to be - so have fun!Please dont start fights, or be rude or offensive. We all come here because of our love of the show.
We're a friendly bunch here, if in doubt, just ask, someone will help!

i know txt talk is annoying, but i think if its understandable its alright, when u get things like LMO, then u dont have a clue, but when u put 2 instead of to, its fine

TOO true. I don't know how many times it's been said about the spoilers, and people are still doing it! I clicked on a post that clearly had in the thread title and main post: NO SPOILERS PLEASE!! I look two messages down and what do I see? A spoiler for season two. It is sooooo annoying. It really isn't safe to read anything anymore. I've more or less moved to spoiler-free now. ARGGH. Sorry, it just gets me so mad when people think they're above the rules.

Writing in text speak is very annoying, even substituting '2' for 'to' and 'u' for 'you'. True it can be understood by most, but somepeople have a better comprehension of this than others. What it does do however is break up the flow of what you are reading as the reader has to stop (however briefly) and interpret. There was an experiment some time back where letters were taken out of words in a sentence. This was then given to people to read. The subject could read it by scanning as a reader tends to only read the first and last letters of a word, thus if the middle letters are taken out, it can still be read. Text speak does not work like this!
Can I just add something - after reading a few threads I have noticed thst some member s have season 2 quotes as their signature. THESE ARE SPOILERS! Please dont use them...I haev watched every ep of season 2 so far, but most people dont enjoy being spoiled - it spoils their viewing!!! Just because you have seen the ep dont assume it is OK to quote it without a spoiler warning! At least change the text colour to white to give people the option of reading it, knowing it is a spoiler.
There are some great quotes in season 2 - and it is tempting to use them. Please dont. The average Joe doesnt have access to season 2, and is waiting patiently for it to be aired - unspoilt.

I totally agree! I hate fanclubs! at one point on the 1st page there was 21 fanclubs! (yes i counted i am sad) its just ridiculos! My other pet hate is Spoilers with no warning! i hate it! ARGH!
