So, Christian is Jacobs' voice-peice ?! The chopper is on its way to destroy the island ! Des stays on the boat ! Michael is invincible (for the time being)
Most importantly, Richard is a time travelling freak who speaks to John as a kid !!!!! He doesn't seem too happy with the path John was choosing ?

Do you know what, this has to go down as the episode that most made me frown ever! Not coz it wasnt any good, I was just constantly thinking, eh? What? Huh?
The really far back FBs, telling us that Locke was trying to be lured to the island since he was a baby? Eh?
Agree with you juventino, that Claire/Christian thing was just plain weird, no other word for it. Weird. Didnt get the point of it, not yet anyways....
I dont understand Ben in this episode either, he is a broken man, and he is also now insinuating that the death of the Dharma Initiative was nothing to do with him, and that someone else was in charge (Richard??) but I just dont know what to make of it.
I think Claire is dead because that why Miles wouldn't leave her alone he knew something was up. This epsiode is all about time and its looking likely maybe Locke is Jacob in a different time line we know the island time is in the future and can see things in the future because of the Doc.This would fit in with Richard trying to see if hes ready by giving him the items and making choice which one was his and the fact he knows what the black smoke monster looks like.

really good episode this one, loads more question now? Why did richard visit john? why did he leave when john picked the knife? was he the scientist looking for genius kids in teen johns flashback? how did he get there? who is the porter?
was it me or did Clare look a bit scary, new she didnt give a monkeys about Charlie.. why is Aaron better of away from the cabin? and is Christian dead?
How do they move the island?
The only thing I do know is that I am more confused now than what I was during season one.
That was a great episode but my head is spinning and my brain is pickled! So many questions I just don't know where to start. I might watch it again just to get my head round it.
I wonder what item Locke jnr. was meant to pick?? Any ideas?

Maybe thats why the losties cant get off the island and only 6 of them get off- the first six leave the island and someone (maybe sayid or jack) is supposed to go back once the 6 are on the boat. Then at the same time locke and ben move the island so "poooooff" its gone again and cannot be found- so they cant get the rest of the losties???
sweet tooth, that is a darn good point. So, whoever was in that coffin potentially knew where the island had moved to, and that knowledge died with them?

well.. what on earth is going on?! Ickle Locke was cute but why was Richard after him from such a young age?! Claire looked a bit freaky in the cabin - is she dead? we saw how the doctor dude got his throat slit, that man is lethal! and finally, Hurley shared his choccie bar with Ben!

I totally agree about Claire being dead.. i reckon she did die in that explosion thing, seeing as it was so odd how she seemed completely unharmed by it.
Thought the appearance of Christian was good, is he real or not? I think that Claire is dead, because Christian said that it's best if Locke didn't say that he had seen her. She did seem very odd in that cabin I agree. Did she die when she walked off in the middle of the night?
Richard is intriguing, I suppose the only answer is that he is time travelling. Interesting that they were after John since he was a baby. I thought Richard was quite cruel when he went to see John as a child. I actually feel very sorry for Locke now, all his life he has been unwanted, it's really awful really.

I loved the drawing of the black smoke that John drew as a child. Did he draw himself being attacked? Is that his fate?

I think Richard had been time travelling. I also think that both bens team and charles team tried to get john- I think the black guy (dont know his name) is working for charles. But none of them managed to get him on side but it was always his fate to go to the island and he got to choose which side he was on.
I am also convinced that the producers are getting the time delay things wrong. Or the difference goes both ways.
Because... The load was sent 31 mins earlier to the island but got there 31 mins late but then the doctor appeared to the losties before he died in real life terms... If anything they shouldnt have found him for ages... unless that part of this episode was behind and a mini flash back if you will.

I thought there was something weird going on, but it definitely wasnt a mini flasback as the guy mentioned the morse code conversation in which the islanders told them about the Drs body appearing, before he had been killed.
oh my goodness what an episode!! was it just me or did claire have a kinda evil glint in her eye? i was totally hoping christian was gonna say "im chritian sheppard" was gutted when he left out his last name lol. i actually thought john had been born on the island cause of the way the house looked when emily ran outside.
the claire is dead theory is good but if she really did die in the explosion then how does sawyer see her too?
