We find out in the finale that the plane crashed because Desmond didn't press the button in time, causing the magnetic build-up to pull the plane out of the sky. I'm right about that right? Where does this leave the theory that the 'losties' were selected by Darhma? In tatters surely?
And tbh i dont take anything for granted,to many maybe's....
All i know so far is what the writers want me to know....They want us to know it was desmonds fault.... Why they want us to know is the thing... Is it cos it is true Or because it is false
"Everyday when i wake up,i thank the lord i'm welsh"
i'll take that bet. seems a huge coinsidence that those two events happened on the same day. Plus it's a worthy explanation (i think) for the crash, made a lot sense when i saw it.
i thouht the fact that the plane crash cuz he didnt press the button was such a let down! i wanted a BETTER reason for a crash! "also.... i was so stunned when the others told micheal and walt how to be rescued! what a good twist. AND the fact libby was in another flashback!- desmonds!?!???! "

1) If it was Desmonds failure to push the button that caused the plane to crash, then the lost members can't have been selected by Dahrma to come to the island.
agree? disagree?
2) Desmond not pushing the button was just a red herring by the writers to lead us away from the truth.
i agree to an extent. We're only 2 seasons in, so who knows what they have in store? I just don't think them being purposly brought to the island is essential. I think you're shaping the show around your theories rather that the other way around.
