Just looking over things when something came to me disturbingly that i find both brilliant and annoying. The flash forward at the end of season 3 is the end of the show and we have enetered david Lynch style territory. Hence the last three seasons will fill in the missing pieces between then and what we saw. Jack is calm in the flashforward when he visits Hurley but erratic in the flashforward with Kate. Jack has no beard in the flashfoorward with hulrey but mentions growing one. Lo & behold he has a beard in the flashforward with kate. Jack has no intention of returning when visiting Hurley but he has to get back in the flashforward with kate. Maybe that is why the episode was called the begginning of the end. As we saw the end in the s3 finale and now the opener of s4 is the beginning of the end that was shown.
Now for an interesting poin. If you remember Jack about to jump off the bridge. Didnt the woman in the car crash resemble Juliets sister. She has a child with her who was about eight. The child was 2 in 2004 which if you go six years on you get 2010 the end of Lost as a series. It ends in current time as we see it.
weird alright Smokey but we will find out everything about the island etc but we will stop at a point in the characters lives and be left wondering what happens to them. Sopranos like we the audience could be whacked. Lets face it we cant follow Jack etc till their daying days. Ah those boys cuse & Lindhoff seriously messing with me head
im sure i read somewhere that the producers have said thats not the end. im sure they will make it back to the island, because remember there is still another 47 eps left
Heya murf. I havent come across them saying that. Tis a mad idea i admit but very possible. reminiscent of the Lost Horizon novel they have partly based it on. Once you leave you dont return. With these boys it couls be anything. I love the way we all see it different as we all bring something new to the table. I dont think i have come across you on here before so welcome and glad to have you aboard our ship. Smokey you old romantic you with your happy endings

They have definately said that the flashforward at the end of series 3 is not the end of the story. There is a whole chapter of 'LOST' which takes place off the island but it is not the end of the story. It is bound to be quoted on darkufo - so at least some of the oceanic 6 will return to the island...
I wonder whether they'll arrive by plane, and land on the runway which is what the others claim they are building, when Kate and Sawyer are captive...why else would they need a runway??
We are stuck in a bloody snow globe.
my big 5 are: Sayid, Sawyer, Hurley, Desmond and Jin... THEY MUST NOT DIE!!
i have found where i read it. in "Saturday" which came in the Daily Express there was a section about lost and Cuse says "flashforwards will be a part of that (season 4). But it would be wrong to think that the flashforward you saw is the end of the series."
Cheers for that people. I'll go read that interview.Puts my mind at rest about it going into that territory although it would have been a well thought out plan if they had. Rewatched the episode last night. Good stuff.
Oh so many unanswered questions. Cheers again Murf for leting me know the article

...Sod "Rain on your Wedding day..", THAT is ironic.....it would be funny if they helped to build the runway they came back to
…I’ll be waiting…..with a gun & a pack of sandwiches..
