this film was nothing to do with being gay- about which, being a biological function, there's nothing much you can say- but everything to do with the state of western first world society. Nothing in this film was said that does not apply to society as a whole. People who have everything, yet who have nothing; people who know the price of everything yet who know the value of nothing; people who are desperately unhappy without realising it and who seek escape in addictive behaviour whether sex violence or chemicals; spiritual hunger, the way the luvvie classes (eg Channel4) and their values have brought ruin to our once proud nation, pointless affluence and material ambition- and what an utterly crappy place London really is.
