Anyones who watching Willie Wonkas Chocolate factory will know that this guy is trying to create the best chocolate in the world!

My question is what do you think it is? Is it a freely avalible bar like the Mars? Cadburys? Something more exoctic? is it white?Milk?Dark?

So many permutations.

What does everyone here think?

The best chocolate in the world is the one you have saved yourself for, the one that you have denied to yourself and then finally indulged in, usually in secret, it doesn't matter what the quality is, be it the bar of seriously rich 85% dark stuff you eat whilst soaking in a bath of perfumed bubbles with champagne, candles and soft music or the bar of dairy milk you eat under the covers in your tent by torchlight, giggling with your mates, chocolate is chocolate. I admire the guy, he has a mission and he is passionate about it, I am not a connoisseur just a chocolate lover like most people. So to answer your question; freely available, be it white, dark, milk, caramel, flavoured with strawberry, raspberry, orange etc, filled with cream, fondant, toffee etc, nuts fruit or whatever. Give me chocolate. Wink

I agree. I don't eat a lot of chocolate, it's not a daily or even weekly thing, though I do love it when I have it.

You have different chocolate needs for different times. Sometimes best is a cadbury flake. Sometimes its a smooth belgian truffle. Sometimes it's a kit kat.

Although I did see something with a chocolatier the other day and he was saying how they could match the perfect chocolate blend to the wine you are drinking etc. I guess it can be matched to moods but but by the time they've analysed you to the chocolate you will probably be feeling a different way. Then again I don't believe that chocolate eating goes with alcohol in any way, shape or form.

Unfortunately, I fell victim to a scamster. Please be aware that this chocolate is NOT available online! Fortunately, I now know where the rogue trader lives!

Seven of your English pounds!
That's for a 180 gm 'cylinder'.

I tried using it - made a chocolate sauce for a cake. It has a very silky texture when melted, and the taste is like a very concetrated 80% bar - but using very little of the "cylinder" to get the same result...might use more next time to up the intensity!
It's a luxury at that price but I like it - looking forward to making something else with it Crazy

Selfridges do a mail-order service at £10 P+P, which is cheaper than any of the current online/eBay offers. However, most of the stores seem to be very low on stock or completely run out.

I'm going to try Amedei, Bonnat, and Domori before I get my next batch though!
