Aww Karen - would love to see a pic of the cats... blue eyes - is that cos they're still tiny or cos they're Siamese/Persian? My Dad has 3 half-Siamese cats, and they're toally demented - I love them to pieces. I'm so glad they're doing well now... give Mr and Mrs Cat a big stroke/ear scratch from me. Tea tonight... got 400 eggs from Gail, so Mr O, mini O and I are having a fritatta with all sorts of stuff added - left-over chicken, (if I haven't eaten it all by then, I keep picking at it), tuna, spuds, peas, onion, oregano out of the garden, and anything else I can throw in. This weekend is going to be fun - got El Kiddo's Dad over for the weekend, and my best friend Jade coming up tomorrow morning, so come Sunday I'm firing up the barbie. Already raided the butchers and got lamb and mint burgers, sausage pinwheels, spicy chicken burgers and loads of Lincolnshire sausages. There is no room left in my freezer. Also going to do potato salad, me famous coleslaw and green salad with baby sweetcorn, radish, beansprouts and all sorts, and Thai dressing with it. When Mrs O does a barbie, she does a BARBIE!!! (I'll still be paying off the overdraft next year, mind you...)

Are you trying to make me jealous or what mrs o!! Can I come peeeze, then I can be your witness to how scrummy your food is, yeah!! You could even charge an entrants fee to help with the outlay!! Where we are, the weather doesn't look too promising for a bar bi over weekend, so we didn't get anything in! Tonite we are having simple Asda make-your-own pizza!! Obviously we add a few bits, to make it extra fattening, and thick! R.I.P. Charlie Stubbs R.I.P. Snuffles/Padfoot TWS, my man

Hi everybody, hope you are ok Karen - sorry your cat is poorly, hope she is better soon. Minkey - glad you are feeling better. Mrs O - I see you are still cooking on a large scale. Got my new gas cooker too, and it's got me bamboozled as the oven is in centigrade or is it celsius? anyway I'm still getting used to it and a few things have been slightly well fired shall we say.

By the way, hope your barbie wasn't toooo wet! R.I.P. Charlie Stubbs R.I.P. Snuffles/Padfoot TWS, my man

I thought that Minkey. I just hope Mrs_O_grub didn't get too wet in all this rain. I did warn her but she said she would grill it in the kitchen if it did chuck it down. Not one to be put off our Mrs_O.

Hello you lovely bunch! *waves*
Nope - NOTHING puts the mighty Mrs O off a barbie - as luck would have it, it stopped raining!! Had a HUGE pig-out, it was bleddy gorgeous if I do say so myself, and there's tons left over for dinner.
Hope the Grub starts working for you soon, it's putting weight on me already. *winks*

After feeling excited yesterday, am not today, the email I sent came back with some gumf, and I just can't log in to forums, as it says I am not permissioned to!! Even though it lets me on the chat thingy!! I've tried searching as said, with name_?_ grub, even adding /, but to no avail, sorry, this is getting soooo frustrating now, thus I am having my first bacardi and hour early!! By the way, so pleased your barbi was a success, and the weather didn't ruin it for. R.I.P. Charlie Stubbs R.I.P. Snuffles/Padfoot TWS, my man

Keep trying, Minkey - you'll be Grubbed up in the end!
It's ok - I've already had a pint and a half of cider.. *HIC*
Tea tonight is a non-existant affair, BBQ leftovers for those that want them. Went to the pub with Lou and her Dad for lunch, and had a whopping steak with red wine sauce, 4 tons of chips, veg and mushrooms, Lou's Dad had a massive mixed grill, and Lou had chicken nuggets with chips and peas.

Hey Mrs O....you r driving my minks krazy Sometimes searching the internet can be a real pain. So many things to justcheck in the world, and sometimes those things come right at the top of the page. But when you find them, it can lead to all sorts of clues

That could well be happening tonight, Minkey - yesterday, found loads of Linconshire sausages in the freezer, and a jar of Chicken Tonight. SCRUMMY - Mr O's polishing the rest off for his dinner, bless him.. he's working his backside off at the mo. So - El Kiddo and I are wandering down to the bakers and getting one of their big meat pies, hoping they've got a chicken one, cos they're GORGEOUS. Have that with new pots, salad of some sort and garlic bread. Easy peasy. (What I REALLY want is Chinese crispy duck pancakes - could this be an early craving??? )

OMG mrs o! That birthday present I sent you.... has it worked already!! By the way, I LURVVEEE pies, have never bought a fresh one from bakers though, gosh, doesn't bear thinking about, I'd be as big as a house, who ate all the pies......me! R.I.P. Charlie Stubbs R.I.P. Trust me, I promise - you guys'll be among the first to know... I think I'm just a pig and love crispy duck - I could eat a whole one just to meself, as long as it's got all the trimmings. Cheated again tonight, cheese and bacon quiches from the bakers, new pots with mint and butter, ready made salad.. I really am slacking.. What is Mr O's allergy to salad all about? I did me famous dressing, and he just had the quiche and spuds. I swear that man is allergic to all things green in colour... He'll be anaemic at this rate. Right - going to jump in the shower with him and continue our babymaking quest.

Oh - and Minkey - pies are GOOODD!!!!!! Find a decent baker and see what I mean.
|
| |
|

|
You mean you actually buy meat pies????????? What happened to making them yourself???? It's easy. Don't give me the !I can't make pastry" rubbish either, coz you have to keep practicing. Keep ya hands cool as with your ingredients, remembering for every 1ounce of fat you need 2 ounces of flour. and just enough cold water to bind to a stiff dough. Don't thump it about be gentle and there you go.
