While I agree that we should try to eat food in season, fining restaurants who don't is stupid!!! Maybe he's hoping it will give him more of an edge when they close everyone else down!

I agree that it is preferable to eat food in season, but why fine a restaurant just because it doesn't want to limit its menu and decides to continue serving what the customer wants???

I do have to say that I think Gordon is an excellent businessman, and a pretty good chef - but I think he should stay out of politics and policymaking. Leave that to the likes of Jamie and Hugh!!!

I think he is spot on if we eat things that are in season British farmers would be better off, People would learn about the Veg. we as a Country have to offer and as for politics and policy making I believe more people would listen to him than Hugh.

Yes, but he is doing his usually trick of jumping on the back of the bandwagon already started by others, and trying to claim he is driving it.

Hugh has been going on about this for years, and Rick Stein and Gary Rhodes have been supporters and advocates of local British fare for decades!
