I am completely gutted. I have waited for a long time for this programme only to have somebody call me for advice after seeing only the first 2 cook. By the time my call had finished I had missed most of the repeat on +4 and only saw the result. My impression of the quartet was that the first guy really did try, felt sorry for him with his heart shaped mousse thing but he should have tempered his drinking, that was his downfall, the faux politition was OK but a bit too sickly, nothing too much trouble and phenomenal got too much. Didn't really see enough of the girl who actually won, (grr)and the other girl was the most singularly obnoxious and awkward guest to ever appear on come dine with me. What an absolute witch. (Unlike the real white witch who appeared in another series of CDWM who was smashing)I would have gladly have poured tabasco all over her, it was rude and very inconsiderate and I only hope that when it was her turn that they all brought HP sauce or similar to smother over the food. Still gutted that I missed most of it. When will it be repeated? I was a bit disappointed at first with the new format being only 4 and all shown in an hour but it was nice to see the whole week at once and have the result.

Will probably be repeated a million times so dont worry! The best person by far won. Why is her onion soup recipe not on here? i wanted to make it! i even went out to get extra onions...
Who did the Onion Soup? I have had a quick look at the forums and if you go to channel4.com/food you will find most of the Channel 4 cookery programmes have a link. Type in Come dine with me into the search and you will be able to see all the past series menues, recipes and comments as well as the new series, had a look myself and couldn't see who did the onion soup in Newcastle but if I do see a good recipe I will post it on here for you. BTW, welcome to the food forum

What a shame that, having had an award for CDWM, the producers couldn't continue with the award-winning format in this prime-time slot. This series seems, if the first one is any guide, to be going for people who don't have much idea of cooking and have just been chosen for their ability of create havoc. It seems as though the people themselves, rather than their cooking ability, are the highlight of these shows. I shall watch the rest of the series and only hope I am wrong.
