I have been looking for ages to find a pepper/salt grinders set which does not leak bits onto the tablecloth and pantry shelf the whole time.
It seems such an obvious requirement, but there seem to be none I can find; even looking via Google just turns up te same design with the grinder mechanism in the bottom.
I would prefer a non-electric version and do not care at all how much it costs, after all it will last a long time. I reckon if I can't find one, I will go on to Dragon's Den and make millions from it. Or perhaps it is a job for John Tickel?
I use a spare sugar bowl for my pepper grinder to sit in when not in use. Or one of those little pots you get with creme brulee would do it - think they're called ramekins. - But, yes, please invent a matching base for when someone special comes to dine.
you can get upside down pepper grinders which won't leave anything on your surfaces/tables-just google the phrase-amazon sells some, or am sure ebay would
