To read the war diaries you will have to visit the "National Archive" at Kew or you might be lucky and find they are available at the NA's website, but they have been broken up into each month's account for each year of the war and cost £3.50 for each section. Hence a whole year's worth (if it's online) would cost £3.50 x 12 = £42!!
