I have written on this board in a quest to find my grandfather's name on the roll of honour in London County Hall. I have found it, as he was, employed by the what was, the GLC.Not as I thought, in apart of the building that no one could access! Thankas to the people that did reply to my previous messages.

I saw your post in the Channel 4 Forum
I checked in the London County Council Book "Record of Service"
Wrongly I think for the surname "Tilly" and of course it is not there.
If you would care to let me have his surname and possible where he lived, perhaps I can come up with more for you
