The contents of this box are noted in the book of Numbers in several sections where certain groups of people were given responsibility for the various components.
To find the original Hebrew meanings of other possibly incorrectly translated words and added punctuation let's refer to Strong's Concordance. (Printed version, not amended electronic versions.)
In Numbers 3:25-26 the sons of Gershon had charge of "… the tabernacle, and the tent, the covering thereof, and the hanging for the door…"
4908 tabernacle . lair of animals, 'the Temple' 168 tent . dwelling place 4372 covering . covering 4539 hanging . a cover (from 5526 fence in, cover over, protect) ie. fenced in for protection. 6607 door . an opening
= The covering of the dwelling place of the 'lair of animals (and the Temple)' is a covered opening (fenced in for protection).
Numbers 3:26 "And the hangings of the court, and the curtain for the door of the court, which by the tabernacle, and by the altar round about, and the cords of it for all the service thereof".
7050 hangings . a sling (from 7049 to carve as if a circular motion) ie. a circular carved sling. 2691 court . a yard (as inclosed by a fence) ie. an enclosed yard 4539 curtain . a cover (from 5526 fence in, cover over, protect) 6607 door . an opening 2691 court . a yard which . which 4908 tabernacle . a residence 4196 altar . an altar 5439 round about . = a circular carved sling in an enclosed yard. A covered opening for the yard. Which is the residence of the circle altar. And the overhanging cords that make it work.
In Numbers 3:31 the Kohathites had charge of: "..the ark, and the table, and the candlestick, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary wherewith they minister, and the hanging, and all the service thereof".
727 ark . (in the sense of gathering) a gathering box 7979 table . a spread out table, from 7971 which means 'to put away, in or out'. ie. a spread out table that goes in and out 4501 candlestick . a chandelier (ie. multiple lamps that flicker) {in the original sense of 5216 which means 'to glisten (as in a flickering lamp)'}. 4196 altars . altar (ie. the circle altar from 3:26) 3627 vessels . article, object, any apparatus 6944 sanctuary . holy place 8334 minister . to attend to 4539 hanging . a cover (from 5526 fence in, cover over, protect) ie. fenced in for protection. 5656 service . work
= the gathering box, the 'in and out' spread out table, multiple flickering lamps, the circle altar (and the apparatus of the holy place wherewith they attend to) and its cover, and all the workings.
In Numbers 3:36-37 the sons of Merari had charge of "the boards of the tabernacle, and the bars thereof, and the pillars thereof, and the sockets thereof, and all the vessels thereof, and all that serveth thereto"
7175 boards . plank or board (from unused root to mean 'to split off'). ie. a plank that splits off. (cf. the 'in and out' spread out table) 4908 tabernacle . Tabernacle 1280 bars . bars 5982 pillars . a column (as standing) 134 sockets . sockets 3627 vessels . any apparatus 5656 serveth . work
= the split off plank of the Tabernacle, its bars, the standing columns, the sockets (and all the apparatus that makes it all work).
Numbers 3:37 "And the pillars of the court round about, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords"
5982 pillars . standing columns 2691 court . a court, from 2690 in the original sense of being separate from the open country. 5439 round about . on every side 134 sockets . sockets 3489 pins . pins 4340 cords . a cord (comp 3499 which means 'an overhanging')
= and the standing columns of the separate court on every side, sockets, pins, and overhanging cords.
Summary and Explanation of Terms Numbers 3:26-27 The covering of the dwelling place of the 'lair of animals (and the Temple)' is a covered opening (fenced in for protection) = the plastic case around the monitor's glass screen where the lair of animals (Map Page) and the Etruscan Temple are seen. A circular carved sling in an enclosed yard = the cd-rom tray that has a circular hole within its enclosure. A covered opening for the yard = the front flap which conceals and protects it. Which is the residence of the circle altar = is where the altar for the circle resides (with "circle" = a compact disk). And the overhanging cord that makes it work = the mouse and other cables (that makes it all work).
Numbers 3:31 The gathering box = the computer's Central Processing Unit box (CPU desk-top case) which appears to gather the 'cords' from all the other pieces of apparatus. The 'in and out' spread out table = the sliding ledge upon which the Keyboard and Mouse and its Mat are situated. The multiple flickering lamps = the LCD lights of the On Switch, Speed Display Panel, Reading Hard Drive, Reset, the Floppy and CD-Rom Drives. The circle altar and its cover = the concealed cd-rom tray. The apparatus of the holy place wherewith they attend to and all the workings = a general description of a computer system.
Numbers 3:36-37 The Tabernacle = a specific name for the Ark of Gopher Wood (ie. Noah's Ark) - the portable sanctury. The split off plank = the sliding shelf upon which the Keyboard, Mouse, and Speakers sit. The bars = the 23 bars at the bottom front of the CPU case (ie. the grill work for the air flow). The standing columns = the Speakers. The sockets = the sockets at the rear of the CPU case. The separate court = the area of the split off plank, being the sliding shelf. The standing columns of the separate court on every side = the two stereo Speakers stand each side on this shelf. The sockets, pins, and cords = the pins attached to the end of the cords of the Speakers that fit into the sockets of the CPU case.
The Bible describes parts of a computer system, and where they were located within the portable carry box. Ronald Pegg's work concluded that an early 1990s 386 PC was taken back to the past by time travellers, and that three particular cd-roms were shown.
Do the individual pieces of that computer system fit into the described large box, and what unit of measurement is represented by a cubit ?
Hebrew word 520 "cubit" means 'a unit of measure', and is a prolonged version of word 517 which when sounded gives 'em'. Prolonging this gives "em-em". A 'mm' is the abbreviation for a millimetre. So in the Bible a "cubit" refers to the metric system. It has been found that in Ezekiel (where he measures the temple) this unit is the basic 'millimetre'. However, in Exodus 25:10 it is a unit of 10 centimetres. Here in Genesis it represents 1 centimetre.
So the box being described in the Old Testament (and depicted in the Ark of Gopher Wood post) was actually 300 cm x 50 cm x 30 cm. That's three metres long, half a metre wide, and 300 mm (about a foot) high. But the "apparatus pieces" are said to fit into the smaller end of the box, being 100 x 50 x 30 cm. Do they, and would the computer be accessible for use ?

The reason two messengers (time travellers) are often mentioned in ancient accounts is that two people would be required to carry this heavy three metre box containing a 386 PC computer system (with its battery power source in the other end behind the closed door).
The "1 cm thick unknown black double-sided coated wood" in my opinion sounds like the black coated 10mm MDF sheets (Medium Density Fiberboard) that are used to make computer tables and hutches.

Er? early 1990s 386 PC, by the early 1990, we had 486 PC by the dozen, also, if memory serves 386 were not pwerful enough to run CD ROMs

Yes they were. I have managed to find one which I now use to show people the cd-rom images that match to the descriptions from various ancient texts.
The question has also been asked "How did this Ronald Pegg come to the conclusion that 2 time travellers took back a 386?"
He researched this for seven years and found some amazing evidence that matches to ancient descriptions. A certain 1995 cd-rom has minimum requirements that it runs on a 386PC with a double speed D-drive. The cd-rom is housed in a square plastic case - and has a specific image on it and its box. The 386PC has a certain number of floppy and cd-roms that are required to boot it and run the drivers etc. - 8 cds, 16 floppy (24 in total). The 386PC is a certain size (as described in the previous posts). When the Windows 3.x Manager Files appears on the 640 x 480 screen, as a default, a certain number of files in the directory are shown in the window - twelve in total. One of these files is the "met".exe programme file that is placed on the hard drive when the certain cd-rom is 'setup'. Its data file consists of 144KB. If this computer was placed in the box as I described, then two people would be needed to carry it. When running, the screen would show the startup sequence of the cd-rom, go through its producer's logo, then go to the main menu screen. To navigate this cd-rom there are seven icons on a map page. Specific images and certain sequences of pictures are seen through out.
The following things from the above list (and a lot more) are documented in ancient texts. Pieces of information can be found in most ancient texts. We need to take a step back form our own little world of knowledge and look at ancient events between the years 5000BC and 1890AD - with a view to seeing the similarities. Look at all the ancient stories, not from their religiously perceived narrations, but from what they are actually describing. Most ancient prophets tell of 'messengers' appearing to them in a bright light. Most are shown 'future' history. Most are told of 'future' history. When their stories are compared, they all seem to be describing the same set of events - and the same set of imagery.
I have already explained where computer parts are described in the Book of Numbers. The size of the disks, the box of disks and its dimensions are described in the Bible. The Book of Mormon describes the "disks" as 24 plates, 8 large and 16 smaller. A picture of Smith in the mid 1800s shows him holding a plastic cd case. John (of Revelations) tells of the 12 files seen on the screen and is told that the startup file is 144 thousand. Paul, Jacob, and Mohammed describe the producer's logo in their respective accounts. Daniel notes that there are two 'angels' present (ie. the time travellers). Moses tells of receiving the cd-roms (the two tablets) - one is the cd-rom being described here. Moses uses the mouse (his 'staff') to make the images appear. Ezekiel, Daniel, and John describe the four icons in the middle of the screen above a crystal picture of the sea, as a lion, an ox, a man, and something like eagle's wings. Daniel describes another sequence of animals. Ezekiel measures a certain temple and provides its exact measurements in millimetres. Ezekiel describes certain features of a map from the atlas section. The biblical "Ariel" (the city of the Lion) is an account of the city seen behind the Lion icon. Plato also describes many of the pictures from the cd-rom - the Atlantis Legend is an account of the imagery from the cd-rom. The ancient Creation Myths (the one in the Bible included) is an account of the opening sequence of the cd-rom. To continue through the presentation we must pass through seven icons (the seven seals of Daniel and John's End Time Book). The list goes on, and on, and on… The visual and written evidence keeps piling up…
Then there is the history told to certain ancient 'prophets' such as Daniel and John. The described 'End Time War' = the 1991 Persian Gulf War. The characters Eliyahu (Elijah), Michael, and Ophrah are names of modern people. The astronomical events described in Revelations chapter 12 = the 1994 impact of the comet ShoemakerLevy9 with the planet Jupiter.
I have written News Reports of these discoveries that present the evidence for Ronald Pegg's claims. A picture is worth a thousand words, so I suggest you visit the PPHC-SG website and evaluate his discoveries for yourself.

Some problems I have with this theory is; assuming time travel was possible you would expect the time travellers to take the latest up to date computer with them. So, does this mean that the travellers have already been back in time with what is now, by I.T. standards, virtually stone age equipment.
And where are they now? Stuck in the past? Is it a "one way" journey? And why don't we know about it? Surely it would have been broadcast if people were sent back in time.

Thank you for the posting also the link. After reading both the posting and the website, I have formed the conclusion that it is just yet another fantastical story created by making suppositions and conjectures in trying to prove that time travel happened. To give one example, of which there are many, it speaks of Mohamed seeing a ladder and then goes on to say if we look at the Latin word for ladder… However, the Koran was written in Arabic not Latin. But the reason there is the focus on the word ladder is because the manufacturer of the CD is supposed to be scala the latin word for ladder, however the proper latin word is scalae which also includes in the definition a flight of stairs.

You are talking about a CD Rom disc, not the hardware; this is backed up by the website which says the images come from an “Ancient Civilisations of the Mediterranean” If you say that it was run on a CD rom drive, then do you have the details of the make and model?

I used to work with 386 PCs and all of them used one floppy discs not 16. There would be no point of having multiplies because the CPU and RAM would not be able to cope with them.

Which version of Windows 3 are you talking about? Is this the British version, the American version?.
Why a 386 Pc and not a 468 which was more common in the early 1990s?

Here is the part of the Book of revelation which mentions
”And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.”
Quite specific there no mention of computers, cd roms or even floppy discs
It does specifically mention that it is a book not a computer screen or image.

This give a more considered view of Urim and Thummim. It also give examples of their usage which goes against you views.

The picture that is presented on the website shows a square box, it says that it is of Joseph Smith but for all intents and purposes, it could be of any one. Also, since it is not possible to copy the picture in order to study it in greater detail then I can only suspect some thing fishy.

Can you provide the chapter and verse which actually confirms what you say, since the only mention of 144,000 speaks of people not megabytes.

Further questions. Given that it is suppossed to be a 386 PC, what was the source of the electricity required to power it.
Why not use a laptop that was avail in the 1990's?

All your questions (well most of them) are addressed in the website(s), so I suggest you go look for them yourself, as it may take me a while to find the associated references and get back to you - as I am busy doing other research and fine tuning how people wish to be informed about these discoveries.
The Biblical, Muslim, and Mormon references are stated in various places in the websites but I haven't the time at the moment to go find them myself. I believe that it is the 'story' about Mohammed and the Ladder - and not that Mohammed wrote these words in the Qur'an himself. (Sorry if my choice of words gave the wrong perception.)

You may want answers to your individual questions NOW, but as I have been studying some of this work since 2002, I have found that the covered over messages that are sitting in 3,000 year old ancient texts are not going anywhere, so finding the evidence takes time. Patience is required. I am the only person authorized to speak on the internet on behalf of the PPHC-SG, and I do this as my personal hobby - and as a way to have some of my personal questions asked and answered in public. There may actually be an answer to this. It is said that the ark's built by the Egyptian's may have acted as a form of capaciter to store electricity. L. Gardner goes into a bit more detail in his "Lost secrets of the sacred ark". It does seem possible that they did contain power of some kind. Also the Baghdad battery shows that electricity was discovered some time ago.
Although a capitor stores electricty, there would have to have been some sort of power grid to get the pwer to the PC.
in addition, given that the Pc requires a regulated source including a stable frequency, how did they get the regulated power.

I was right about my questions not being answered.
Having been to the website, had the information that I seek been there then I would not have needed to ask the questions.
In fact the more I read the website; I see how false the claim is, not only by virtue of the lack of evidence but also of the way the extant evidence is presented and interpreted.
To go further,
An example is the way it describes the book mentioned in revelations with its seven seals on the back and then says a CD rom is like a book, it can be written and is read from the back.
Regarding the book, as pointed out above the website tries to say that what is actually being seen is a 386 PC showing a cd rm. However, we look in detail at what happens when the seventh seal is broken then there is no way that what is described resembles anything from a travelogue cd rom!

The sounding of the first four trumpets causes a partial destruction of the elements of nature. One-third of the earth is burned, as also one-third of the trees and all the grass. There an important fact concerning the Book of Revelation and that is it is still not been authenticated as being a genuine document. As seen above images and descriptions have been taken from the Old Testament, not from any CDRom..
How does the PPHC explain the discrepancy between what they claim and what actually happened in revelation?

And, it trying to evaluate his work, If find it necessary to ask questions in order clarify the position and to establish the source of the supposed evidence.

This is another example of something which does not stand up to scrutiny and is because the quote from revelation does not mention files it speaks of humans.

According to revelation, the only one worthy to open the book was the lamb, not a 386 PC and as we know the lamb is symbolic which no doubt the PPHC will say that it is symbolic of a 386 PC.
Even if the PPHC did try to make such a claim that they would be blown out of the water by the simple fact of the response given in Revelation:
Rev 5;2 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
