And on a slight tangent...

As well as history...

There was always HERstory.

Roll Eyes

Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation.

I recall an older attempt to prove the unprovable titled "africa cradle of civilization" or something like that.

If I could get a "crash and burn" sound in here only then would you really understand what happened to this ridiculous (the least I can say) theory.

Why are there so many divisions in society today? Black history and HERstory all fit into this nice little subject called History - Its a majical word covering the whole past not just one Race, Colour or Sex... Black and White, Male and Female history should be grouped together, united, rather like our socienty should

Check out Ian Wilson's "Before the Flood". Don't be put off by the title. It is a very scientifically based theory placing the earliest evidence of civilisation in northern turkey on the original shores of the black sea before it's level rose by several hundred feet submerging it.

BTW good answer hayward!

You're right .. they were not Black.. They were African.
Oh yes with great amounts of Melanin.

Thats a fact.. Check the excavations in sudan being carried out at the moment..
Biggest archealogical activity.

Don't rely on your miseducation. You are much more intelligent than that.

Egypt was called Kemet before the Arab Invasion.

This may sound like a very silly question, but, if this is so, why didn't their early artwork show this? Confused

But these are all sculptures, mainly in monochrome. The paintings on papyrus show mainly pale brown skinned people.

Like I said They were African.

Africans are the most diverse race.. Black Brown Dark Light .. thats just colour...

even the paintings reflect this.. any African knows that classification by skin colour is a European concept.

Lots of prominent features got knocked off sculptures usually because they stuck out.
In fact the longer they are the more this is likely, so not necessarily a feature that supports your argument.
However, I will concede that if they are fron north africa then yes, they are african, just not particularly negroid as the nubians were.
