They the Germans lost the war their country was cut up in the treaty of Versailles and anti-semites blamed the jews just like the Jews have always been used as a scapegoat thoughout the years. At the moment it seems to be the immigrants... in the 70s it was the blacks... but i can't recall the Jews being scapegoated for anything throughout my lifetime - only blamed for what they many of them have actually done in Palestine.

My father was a communist and had he lived in Germany would have been in a concentration camp. You are right pukka, in the past jews have been persecuted and they have my complete sympathy in this. But what Israel has done and continues to do to the Palestinians in inhumane and abhorrent. And not all jews agree with what Israel are doing.

Thanks for your reply liz, my father is a Comuunist and also my grandfather was a communist in fact alot of my grandfathers were communists. Of course we dont both agree with what is actually happening in Israel and Palestine that is natural.If i was a palestinian i would be raging like the palsetinians are. But i think things are more complex and more dug in ie the Israel have won land through successive attacks/war by the Arabs the Arabs lost and ISrael dont want to give that land back they think they have won. So its very difficult for any Israeli PM to give land back when Israeli life has been lost in winning that land,

No its not the Nazis wanted the Arabs to destroy Israel, as part of Hitlers final solution.So in effect the Nazis were using the Arabs.
