Today is the 130th Annivsesrary of Custer's Last Stand at Little Big Horn. Would it have made any difference on that Sunday in History if Gatling guns had been taken along?
I didn't have time to put anything else in yesterday (Sunday). But it seems that the Gatlings, in tests at any rate, were very reliable and accurate. Even without Gatlings, though, it could be argued that Custer - blunderer though he was on that day - could have been rescued by Major Reno and Captain Benteen. They were situated on what is now known as Reno's Hill just four miles away from Little Big Horn. And if Custer had survived? Maybe the boy would've run for President!
