ive read through everything that people have said about the war of the world and like everyone i agree with some people and disagree with others.

the fact is that some of the reasons for the amount of war that happened in the 20th century happened because like the leaders of the world today they are power hungrey.

i maybe wrong in guessing that not everyone has watched all the seris and read the book (which goes into a lot more depth). with everything that mr ferguson makes a point of i disagree with some and agree with others. and in parts he does over do it for example the period of time that he writes about in describing the happenings of the period of time just before the great depression.

reading through all of the posts people who say that ww2 could be prevented that simply isnt the case because of the amount of events that happened leading up to it. tensions between natons and the opnion of people at the time on both sides of the war. for the yanks they had like usual a finger in every pie. they gave money to germans and us so the yanks helped everyone out not just us! Also mr ferguson does point out that germany was the fastest growing economy out of the great depression so no wonder the german people followed in everything that he did since because he was in their minds a genious.

also i just like to point something out to the people who try and argue when ww2 started their are like everything in life more than one answer. the two possiable answers are the one that mr fergusons makes in 1937 when japan invaded china or there are others who say that the treaty that was signed soon after ww1.

it is really annoying when people argue the reasons why wars happen and im not jsut talking about ww1 or 2 im talking about every war that happened in the 20th century. there are a number of factors that can not be hidden like economic, power hungrey, falling of empires and money. there is simply not one reason for what happened in the 20th century.

also people who slag off the title "hundred years war" it is a title that is ment to get your attenion and it has worked. and in someways it is true because there was not a day that went by that there was not killing by s a state on someone else by like everything else people label things differently.

niall ferguson is just like every historian that is trying to get a successful seris and book under his belt by saying that everyone else is wrong and he is right and in someways he is but like everything he has his downfalls and more than he thinks.

anyways i read the book and watched the seris and i loved every moment of it. ive read the "pity of war" which is also written by the infamous niall ferguson and like every other historians book that i have read he tries to be differernt. And thanks to the approval from his fellow professors, newspapers, hitroians and book clubs he is allowed to do it more than some people who want to do the samething.
