Hi - yes, it usually takes a short while to update - what's your band's URL though and I'll get the techies to look into it...
I think people should consider Olivine, I have never heard didgeridoo used in a rock track before, and new music is the trend today. all the best, scape.
The Red Devil Incident should be considered for band of the week because we've just released our album on iTunes and it would be cool to be given a chance to promote our message and music to the wider audience.
We've been together just over a year and with only a handful of gigs under our belt have gained the attention of Xfm, BBC Radio Wales, numerous local and not-so-local radio stations, music blogs and podcasts.
We were also selected by Rob da Bank of Radio 1 to be invited down to London for the finals of the JD set unsigned, where we filmed a live gig and band interview, to be screened on C4 later this year.
But never mind what the industry pros say... check out our latest track 'Even Astronauts' (first one on our site) for yourselves! At the end of the day, all we want is for you to dance. So for the 3 mins 44 secs it takes for the track to play, put down whatever you're doing and enjoy our little gift from us to you.
We'd love to be your unsigned band of the week, tracks and links to our myspace page on the link above.
Cheers
Phil
Oops just went to edit the above but wasn't allowed.
The reasons why we should be the band of the week.
Well firstly we deserve it nomore than any other band on here, as listening to the sounds there is some amazing talent. Good stuff guys.
JMB have been together for 3 years now, Gareth singer/guitar and myself Bass have been working together for 12 years and have played grunge, punk, rock and jazz in the past. Gareth's little brother then joined on drums and we are what we are now.
We gig as often as we can and up until November last year had the residents at a club called the Watersplash. Gareth and Alex then went to Australia due to family reasons, but have recently returned.
We are now looking to make this the year for our music.
We have done a few major gigs in our time, with Kasabian, The Bravery, The Ordinary Boys, The Futurheads, Danni Minougue, Big Bruvaz, The Commitmens and more and would love the opportunity to rub shoulders with some other bands.
Basically we put our life and soul into this band in the hope that people will get up dance, forget all their worries and have fun.,
There that is why we should be band of the week.!!

--------------------------- THE MODEL VILLAGE (PORTSMOUTH)
We strive for perfection. We have a message to all those in need of rescuing from apathy. We do not falter. We are perfect. We know no bounds. We hold no structure. We are more than music - we are you. We do not adhere to restriction or rule. We are NOT "new rave", "no wave" or "new wave". We believe in peace, love and unity. We believe in ourselves and our fellow countrymen. We have the right to remain silent.
'Jook' should be on it because judging by their gigging audience they appeal to young and old peeps alike. They have a bluesy/rock sound. Check them out at www.myspace.com/jookuk
Thick Skinned should be a contender for band of the week. They have been around the North East taking part in various battle of the bands and small gigs and supplying crowds with excellent performances. Most recently they are through to the semi finals of Trillians BOTB in Newcastle (Free Entry if anyone else wants to go this wednesday.) They have been hovering around the PulseRated.com charts for weeks (it used to be a SKY radio channel.) and have amassed a respectable amount of votes on this site. Also in recent studies 7 out of 10 cats preferred them to their usual band.
Move zig is a band that has slightly more ambitious hopes than making people dance. Our music is difficult to describe, and very rarely compared to anyone; we have a unique sound that appeals to a broad spectrum of music lovers.
We're melodic, forward-thinking and with a future ahead of us. We're based in Brighton, have just finished a new EP of which two tracks are uploaded to our unsigned account. We have a buzz, gigs lined up, and lots of hope.
