Let's hope Jamie gets it right this time and makes this show about cooking and recipes rather than his family....and then bemoan all the trappings of celebrity.

Pass me the remote love.....

I thought the first episode was ok but I find it difficult to get that excited about a tomato.

I like it when his family are involved.
Although he was 'at home', he could've been anywhere in last weeks episode as there were no 'homely' signs. It looked like he was in a shed or outhouse!

Does it matter the programme is about the man cooking with fresh produce from the garden, why do people have to take things so literaly. If he showed you round his house every one would be moaning there was no cooking. I thought it Cool was very informative.

Last nights two episodes had me drooling, I have never cooked shoulder of lamb or used leeks, Jamie has a style of cooking, simple, throw things in, decent heaped plates of comfort food, which almost have me chewing my tv. He is the only chef who makes me hungry these days and thank the stars there are no ridiculous antics with the camera, no distractions from good food. Excellent.

Hi Has anyone got the recipe 4 Jamie's roasted shoulder of lamb. I want 2 cook it 2morrow as it looked fantastic but can't find the recipe. I know it had 2 cook for about 4 hrs but don't know anything else. I would love the recipe from his book if someone has it.

I love Jamie at home, he cooks good meat and properly. But I do have one observation:

Jamie, if you are reading this, please clean your nails. I was watching you prepare some barbie meat and was absolutely drooling over it .......... until I saw your hands, the dirt under your fingernails really put me off and I almost (almost...) lost my appetite. I know you are cooking outside but, please, a little bit of hygiene goes a long way. Thanks.

Back to the food..........

I can't seem to edit so back to the lamb:
shoulder of lamb + rosemary if you like it,
roasting dish,
oven on full,
slam in the lamb,
turn down oven to 170 degrees,
cook for 4 hours,
let it rest for a while
pick out the bones
EAT IT.............preferably with your fingers!!!!!

Jamie has never ever complained about being a celebrity. If anything he's grateful for having some attention if it means being able to reach an audience about healthy eating & good proper foods.

What Jamie is strongly against is when media/press/tabloids print unfounded & made-up stories about his personal life that directly affect his family esp his wife & children! Roll Eyes

Example was the story of his so called affair with a waitress in his Fifteen Amsterdam restaurant! Mad It affected Jools so much that Jamie threatened to sue the tabloid responsible until the tabloid backtracked & apologies!!!

I suggest you get your facts right before judging Jamie.
