Hi, I am 14 year old and live in Suffolk. I go to a high school called Deben.I have school dinner everyday and take 2 pounds with me. Mostly i have chips or pasta seeing as there is not much choice. They have the same old things everyday and it costs a fortune. They usually have pizza, sausage rolls, pasta, chips, quiche or a weird pie which the teachers only eat. We do have vegetables but who is going to eat pasta and peas?! My younger sister goes to an infant school and gets a much larger choice and healthier for a cheaper price. They have just changed their menu following Jamie Oliver's advice and she loves it! Why has Jamie Oliver's advice been accepted by infant schools and not high schools? We need your help Jamie!! i go to secondary scool in turves green northfield birmingham and i TOTALLY agree with you! they hav pies that hav chicken and PEAS in which i tried.tasted.and spit out. it was disgusting to be honest. now i hav packed lunch which is cheaper than £2 a day in school dinners if they did hav decent meals i would change but seeing as they havnt changed i wont
we have healthy meals at our secondary school and there good but it wasn't to do with jamie oliver that they changed ( even tho he may have pushed them to change it quicker and is doin a great job) because we live in scotland and it say's on tv tht he's only helping england at the moment is tht true??
The thing is smiley the company i work for was already bringing in changes at least a year before jaimie Oliver came on the scene, I'm not sure if it is only in England but if it is then thats not good enough really a?
