I have got to say I really enjoyed last nights Great Escape. I especially enjoyed the fight going on in the background when Jamie was trying to cook!!!! PMSL
Great programme yeah, more than just a cookery show with a bit of scenery.
I particularly liked him trying to park his camper van and get his mobile kitchen in the right place. That lady looking on in utter panic 'just leave it there, leave it there!!'.

Loved the first episode. Funny comment when poor Jules saying bye to her hubby, jamie says "you've just made the pap 50k with the tears" then the papers next day professing the end of there marriage bless. I love the whole family man getting away to recapture his cooking passion. I love to cook and his accompanying book is great. Can totally empathaise with the whole passion for food Looking forward to the next episode.......

Hey! I love Jamie too! He is brilliant! The programme, and Jamie, ought to win an award, each. The episode on the 19th October was the first of a series of 6, so which one did you miss?
I'm a big fan of Jamie, done so since The Naked Chef! Have got 4 of his books inc the latest one & have given them as presents to family & friends ( my nephew is an architect by profession & also took up cookery class because of Jamie & now planning to have his own restaurant one day). Have watched all his shows inc repeats.
And now enjoying this latest series produced by his own company Fresh One.
Jamie is simply unstoppable with his success but that's one thing I love about him - he still got his feet firmly on the ground!
I like this new programme because it's seems like in italy jamie isn't as weel known as he is in England so he has to work hard to gain their respect and they dont realy seem to like him that much lol.

What a shallow reason to dislike someone. It would have been a more debatable excuse to dislike him if you say that he's stupid for helping the whole nation of schoolchildren eat nutritional food....but of course you can't because you know very well that he's done a magnificent job raising awareness & getting the government get involved too.

Well of course he isn't well known in Italy. As much as I like him, he won't do himself any favours trying to teach the Italians how to cook!
Wel this evening I watched in awe when Jamie got the monks to enjoy themselves, and it was all around eating. Good for him I hope this goes further down the road of education for the masses food is good
Tonight'e episode was excellent as well but I turned away for the slaughter, sorry I am a wuss. However he is growing up and realising that there is more to life than working all of the time, maybe he will slow down a bit and see more of his gorgeous little girls. I loved the pasta competition tonight as well.
I was appalled that Jamie killed the lamb because it was just to get attention for the show. I believe that we should all know exactly where our food comes from, but to allow a celebrity chef to slaughter an animal is barbaric. He has had no formal training and the lamb had not been stunned. It must of died a slow, stressful and agonising death. And you call it entertainment? It was disrespectful and unnecessary.
I am really chuffed Jamie killed a lamb, at least it'll show people how their meat gets to their plate. I hate jamie, but and please with this little stunt. I didn't see it, as I can't stand the programme myself.

It wasn't done to get attention of the show, don't tell me Jamie's ratings are that low that they need to do that? LOL I don't think so. Are you a vegetarian? Do you eat chicken?
Jamie excellent last night, what a star! All the kids, what is this ....aubergine, what is this...fennel, what is this tomatoes..........these were 3 to 4 year olds, goes in a British class, what is this (holds up celery) errrr a cucumber, what is this holds up some parsnips, errrr dunno, what are chips made out of errrrr dunno, these were 14/15 year olds....... I blame the parents.
I'm really sorry but you people make me want to vomit! JO is way overrated and very irritating.
I can't believe anyone is watching this woeful series.
....and WHY put Jules crying in the show....and then moan again and again about press intrusion into your family life!!!! I hate the way celebrities generate interest in their own lives and then bemoan when they're not left alone.
