The England players look dead on their feet, Portugal have been disappointing considering the advantage they have. Rooney had better hope you lot scrape through or it will be a repeat of 98 but instead of dummies of David Beckham getting hanged it'll be the Shrek look-a-like. I predict penalties.

Something I noticed during the game.. As Rooney left the pitch, Ronaldo went to get a bottle of water and the camera followed him. As he was walking, he was looking at somebody. He winked at them, then moved his mouth in a 'Shh..' kinda way. Then I read this on the BBC website: quote: Rooney was battling to keep possession from three Portugal defenders when he raked his studs across Carvalho, who was on the floor trying to win the ball.
Chelsea defender Carvalho reacted dramatically and Ronaldo sprinted to the referee, apparently to demand a red card.
Now..Rooney is an idot, and it's partly his own fault he got sent off IMO.. But could Christiano Ronaldo have done something..? It was just very odd behaviour that's all. Did anybody else see it..? |

I noticed it too. But then the Portugese ran to the referee after every fall they took. As usual we can't do penalties, the only player who scored for England plays in Germany, which says it all really. Why can we not score from penalties?

The reason England can't win a penalty shoot out is probably just all in the mind. Your players seem to expect to miss. Lampard would bang in about 5 penalties a season for Chelski and so would Gerrard for Liverpool. Your players seem to go into a shoot out expecting to lose.
