why dont parents like to see you on chat rooms?
i get blamed for being antisocial then get blamed for being social its just out of order. post your thoughts on this please id love to hear your thoughts.

Because people can be pretending to be someone they are not, just to groom children. People under about 13 should not be allowed to use chatrooms IMO.

Because they'd rather you be with people y'know.

your parents cant keep an eye on what you're up to when you're chatting in a chat room. and parents need to know what you're doing for your own safety. they're usually right about things like this!

i will not be allowing my kids in chat rooms until at least 15 and forums the same. People can be very nasty and lie.

i agree with there being an age limit. i think that sites like this tho are safer as they're not just aimed at kids (like kids chat rooms), they're aimed at a wide range of ages. i don't know if that makes a difference tho.

I think the danger of chatrooms is way over-exaggerated especially these days. If you meet someone off the internet without at least seeing them on webcam first to make sure they're not some 70 year old paedo, you're stupid. I suppose if the parents realise their kid is stupid, then they have reason to worry but otherwise, chatrooms aren't that dangerous.
