Why do people just stare into them?

I just went downstairs to get some food, and I opened the fridge, and just gazed into it for a while, then shut it again.

It's not that there's nothing in the fridge... just nothing that will cook itself.

Anyway, am I the only person that does this??

No i was doing it yesterday and then my mum came and joined in. i left with nothing and she picked some pasty or summat

would of looked funny if my step dad came in and just seen us staring in the fridge

No i do this all the time...but usually i forget what i was looking for and shut it then go back ten minutes later...i always gaze into my fridge

Maybe the fridges hypnotise us...


What a lucrative business idea! "Diet Fridges" - they hypnotise you into not actually wanting any food

yeh i do this a lot, i look in the fridge, then look in the cupboard, then go back to the fridge as if something might of magicaly appeared

I do this when I'm bored / trying to put off work. It can last for ages. And recently I've started doing it with the freezer at Uni aswell!

Haha I don't stare into freezers, they're too cold!

I decide what to have for dinner by staring into the freezer. Thing is, as soon as you open the door, your mind goes blank and you can't even remember what food you have in the first place!

Mine usually never has anything in it except for some milk.

The washing machine is another good one to stare at. the cat used to watch it for hours.

I find staring into space very satisfying.

i always stare at my fridge too i always forget what i opened it for, so i just stare for a while

i always check whats in the fridge and if its nothing i just go and check again 5 mins later...

Did anyone here used to watch the cosby show? there was an episode of that where Theo was just standing there for ages staring into the fridge, and Cliff made a joke about the penguins coming to ask when he was gonna look in the fridge, and taking a photo of whats in the fridge

i do it aswell but there is never anything on my fridge

Ok here's what I think:
When you stare at the frigde is because you're not really hungry. You're just looking at something to chew. Like when I'm cooking and I need something out of the fridge I get it in like 2 seconds, but when I think I'm hungry......

lol - i know but looking at the fridge is actually kinda fun

I dont see what's fun about it
