Morning all,

This is the 1st time I have posted on the O/T board, I have posted a few times on the lost board, hopefully someone can help.

I go on various messag boards, and for some reason some of them have stopped working for me. When I try to get to them, or open a post, i get the "not responding" message and any internet windows open all shut down. I have had nothing done to my pc befor this happened, they litterally just stopped working over night.

I have tried clearing/deleting my cookied, someon has increased my virtuall memory earlier today, but they still will not work. This has been going on for weeks now

I dunno if any of you have any idea abour PC's but was hoping someone would be able to help or give me push in the right direction of somehwere I might be able to find answer.

for your problem...i havnt a clue to be honest..i wish i could help but im not that good on computers lol...look out for Steve_the_Lamp...hes very good with computers...he comes on during the day...also a couple more might be able to help as well not sure who tho lol.

complete stab in the dark, but check your firewall. also check your pop up blocker. make sure you allow theose sites in your lists.

morning Clistan, this sounds like you may have a virus on your comp. i suggest that you find a free antivirus prog ( Zonealarm, or Grisoft AVG Trial, google them) and down load it, then run a full scan)
if this dosen't solve the problem, then you may have to reformat your hard drive and reinstall the operating system and all your softwear. but make sure you back up any important stuff like your work, music & pics before you do.

Thanks for the help, i dont think my setting on my pc allow me to check my firewall or pop up blocker (its a work PC)I looked up on google how to do it and couldnt find the right options.

Hiya, thanks for the advice, when I log in again tomorow I am going to alow the Mcaffee anti virus thing to do its check, not sure about reformating my hard drive and stuff though as its my work PC and I dont think they would be best pleased!!

Maybe your boss has blocked them from your computer because you should be working and not going on message boards!

He he, I did think of that but they dont even ban rude sites (so I have heard!) so I think it my PC just being useless!! ha ha never mind
