I don't get how that makes sense, as a Christian you would believe you would only have sex with one person, and you also believe God has areason for his actions, surely this means you wouldn't have sex with anyone if you were a perfect Christian, however I'm pretty sure any normal person in this situation would go out and have sex............... but this means breaking his promise.

You would eventually move on....not right away of course...i would give it a few years if i was in that position before looking to get back on the dating scene...Promise or no promise you do have to move on and live a life...

The main character would have to lose faith and experiment with the dark side a little to make a good story - otherwise you are left with a character crossing his legs throughout the whole book... but then maybe he finds faith in an alternative (another girl who looks exactly like her?/other religion/drugs/sex/fill in blank). Either that or he becomes a demented taxidermist type-charcter and refuses to believe his girl is dead, and God hasn't denied him after all... cue lots of, um, nice necrophila.... yeah I can see Disney making an offer for the rights now.

However, as she was the only person in the world you could have sex with when she's alive, what changes now she's dead. As God said she's the ONLY one for you.
