no, i'm having a quiet one. last year i went to the beach and it was really lovely, but when it came to going out celebrating, everybody cancelled and only 4 of us (including mum and sister) went. my 18th was bad because my aunty had just died and i was realy close to her, my 20th was quiet but ok and my 19th was probably the best. but the milestone ones weren't! oh god look at me ranting on! sorry guys

Sayid said nothing, but just looked at Eko confused...

Eko: "I'm sure you realised that Locke was involved with the CIA...."

Sayid: "No, I'd no idea."

Eko: "Well Mr. Locke had a personal incentive to try and kill you. I am sure you are aware of this."

Sayid: "He said I tortured him during the Gulf War."

Eko: "You also left him crippled."

Sayid: "What? But he's walking, he was walking on the island."

Eko: "The island cured him of his illness."

Sayid: "Ok, Ok, let's say I believe you. Why would the CIA want me killed?"

FLASHBACK
On the Island...

Sayid entered the armoury to interrogate the bearded man he and Eko had captured...

Sayid: "What is your name?"

Bearded Man: "My name? What good's that to you? Don't you want to know what I'm doing here first?"

Sayid: "I asked for your name."

Bearded Man: "Bill. Call me Bill."

Sayid: "Ok Bill, now why were you trying to take Claire's baby."

Bill: "I'm not one of them."

Sayid: "What? Yes you are, you're their leader."

Bill: "That's what they think. But, if you'll indulge me for a few minutes, I'll tell you why I'm really on this island."

END OF FLASHBACK

Eko: "The CIA wanted you killed because you knew too much."

Sayid: "Too much about what?"

Eko: "About the island."

Sayid: "What?"

Eko: "Remember our friend Bill?"

FLASHBACK CONTINUED...

Sayid: "Ok, I'm listening."

Bill: "I arrived here seven years ago, to this place. I acted as though I had crashed. The third night here, they took me. I was tortured for a week, claiming I didn't know what they were on about. Eventually, I gained their trust. So, people'd crash here, and I'd capture them for a while and everything was gong honky dory. As I captured more people than the rest, they made me their leader. This was perfect, this was what I wanted."

Sayid: "Why?"

Bill: "I came to the island on a mission."

Sayid: "A mission? What was it?"

Bill: "My people had heard of this group, the Dharma Initiative and that they were testing electromagnetism on an island in the south pacific. My people didn't approve of this and sent me to this island so that I cuold infiltrate this group and send reports back to them."

Sayid: "Who are your people?"

Bill: "The CIA."

END OF FLASHBACK

The Other Side – Episode 3

A boy of about 18 stood facing Ethan. He smiled when he saw him, although Ethan wasn’t as glad. He was at first afraid of the boy, thinking of the mysterious whispers from the previous night. He creeps forward shyly.
ETHAN: “Are… are you… who are you?”
BOY: “The name’s Tom*, and who might you be?”
ETHAN: (with increased confidence) Ethan. Have you seen my father?
For a second Ethan thought he could see a look of recognition flash across Toms face, as though he knew something, but perhaps he was imagining it, for Tom now looked like he didn’t have a clue.
TOM: “No, sorry, you’re the first one I’ve seen from this wreck”
Ethan’s eyes begin to well up at the thought of having lost his father.
TOM: “You want me to help you look for him?”
Ethan’s eye light up instantly, like a child who has been promised candy.
ETHAN: “Yes please! Thanks!”
TOM: “Don’t mention it, littleman, now come along, tracks lead this way”
Tom walks past Ethan towards the jungle. Ethan is about to turn and follow him, but then he notices something floating in the water, behind where Tom had been standing. It was his suitcase.
*Flashback*
Ethan is dragging his suitcase up the driveway to a small villa. His dad is ahead of him with the keys
FATHER: “Here we are, my little place in the sun.”
He opens the door and Ethan immediately drops his suitcase and rushes in, stepping on a large pile of letters just inside the door. The date on the mail tells us they are in Fiji. His father picks up the mail and puts it on the side and Ethan, having already peered into every door comes racing back to him.
ETHAN: “Can we go fishing now, pleeeeeeeeeease?”
