Shaman King and Naruto are both manga animated cartoons. Out of the 2, i totally prefer Naruto.
Shaman King is great but not something i watch religiously. Where as Naruto on the other hand, i do.
Naruto is funny and exciting....very action-packed as they use a lot of Ninja moves like all the types of Jutsu's. Sometimes, when you have the fight scenes, they can be very heart stopping. The programme is about a young boy, Naruto, whos dream is to become the great Hokage but has to become a ninja and then work his way up. - obviously there is a lot more to it and a lot more characters. Thing with Naruto is that in the fight scenes, it explains them so your never left confused or wonder if you missed anything - which is great (expecially for me)
At the beginning, episode 1 ad 2, it is based on Naruto but then in episode 3 - All young ninja's are put into groups of 3 and then given a Sensei - an elite ninja.
Naruto is put into team 7 along with Sakura (who he has a major crush on) Sasuke (who Naruto hates but Sakura has a major crush on.). Sakura is the down to earth one and very smart. Sasuke is the'heartthrob' of the class but has an attitude problem but then this is because of his background, which you learn about through the series. Them 3 are lead by there Sensei Kakashi - who is soo great!...there are better ways to explain who he is but he's my fave character and everytime i try to explain, i just come out with that he's 'great' lol.
Thats only the jist of the beginning...i kinda waffled on...sorry!
If you want to know anymore about it then just go to google and type in Naruto and then check out the Wikipedia link...that gives a much more detailed description of Naruto and all the characters and everything in general.
Naruto is shown on Jetix at 8.30, just after Shaman King and flicking over last night, they have started showing the beginning of Naruto and last night was the first episode so tonight will be the second episode but not to worry if you missed the first one, you dont miss much....just getting there bearings (sort of as you find out about Iruka sensei but thats easy to explain in a short jist)
Personal opinion at the moment, episode 3 and 4 are the best as thats when they meet Kakashi and have to pass his training survival exercise, which is quite hard for them but it's extremely funny to watch. And Kakashi does this jutsu move which is called '1000 years of death' and you wouldnt believe what kind of move it is!
So anyway...im going to shut up as you can see, i could talk about Naruto all day (and thats not even getting me started on Kakashi). Anyhooo, i hope i havn't bored you to sleep

Also, dont worry about age...a lot of people watch it, i know someone to be 40 and completely interested in it.
